Family trip - Ashanti kingdom cultural tour

Nurudeen was fabulous. I went to Ghana with my daughter (12), my son (9) and my husband. We had a sense of what we wanted to do but didn’t have any idea how to organize ourselves. We lucked into finding Nurudeen and he listened carefully to what we wanted to do and planned a trip that involved exactly what we had asked for. We learned so much about the Ashanti kingdom and got to try our hands at many of the crafts that the Ashanti specialize in. The craft makers who he brought us to learn from couldn’t have been better. Nurudeen was knowledgeable and flexible and switched up our last day plans when we changed our mind about what we wanted to do. He was also very kind and was great with my kids. They both adored him. Highly recommend booking your trip with him. I’d book with him again in a heartbeat.

Response from the operator: Hello Trek, Good to know you were excited about our services especially your guide, Nuru-Deen. He will be happy to read this and thank you for trusting your tour with us and hope to see you again in the near future.

They made us feel at home

Nuru Dean and his team were fantastic! They planned everything for us and took great pride in making sure our needs were met. The unique experiences were awesome: Andrika sash making, Ashanti naming ceremony, cocoa farm, and cooking class was so much more than I expected. They stayed with us all 9 days and assured we were taken care of at every hotel, museum and experience. Whatever we wanted, they made it happen. I highly recommend and will be using them again.

Response from the operator: Hello, Greetings from Tripafrica Tours!. We are thrilled to receive this review from you and for being pleased with our services. Thank you very much for taking the time to share this review. The team will be glad to see this review. Hope to see you soon and please don't forget to recommend us to others.

    The Best Experience

This was an extraordinary experience. Ghanaians are creative entrepreneurs and rich in history. TripAfrica treated us wonderfully. From the sceneries, hotels, restaurants, to museums, the hospitality was superb. Nuru-Deen, Eazi & Maxwell were the best hosts. I formative & professional. We had a blast. I left Ghana wanting to treat others the way we were treated there. The experience of a lifetime. If you're interested in knowing more about African history while enjoying the culture, beaches & Atlantic Ocean....... then this us the trip for you. The Dixsons Homestead, Florida

    Fantastic

The feeling of being reconnected to my lost family. It was spiritually uplifting, overwhelming to discover I was removed from my true roots but great to know I made back home. The host that made this a fulfillment of a life long dream, Nuru Deen is truly a gifted , knowledgeable host. He is second to none when you are in his care. My trip was like opening a book we’ve just gotten to chapter 1 with 9 plus more to go. See you soon

Response from the operator: Hi David, Greetings from Tripafrica Tours! Thank you for your kind words. Nuru-Deen will be happy to read this. We cannot wait to host you on your next trip to Ghana. Thank you.

Experience the Culture of Ashanti Kingdom in 5days: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Accra.

How much does Experience the Culture of Ashanti Kingdom in 5days cost?

    +

Prices start at $1,350 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Accra usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Experience the Culture of Ashanti Kingdom in 5days take?

    +

Plan for about 120 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Accra is not rushed.

Is Experience the Culture of Ashanti Kingdom in 5days worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Accra, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Experience the Culture of Ashanti Kingdom in 5days?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Experience the Culture of Ashanti Kingdom in 5days suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 120-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Experience the Culture of Ashanti Kingdom in 5days?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Accra can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Accra and add a light layer if any part of the 120-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Experience the Culture of Ashanti Kingdom in 5days start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Accra within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Accra?

    +

On Outty we rank every Accra experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Experience the Beauty, History and the Culture Of Accra in a Day, Cape Coast Castle, Elmina Castle & Kakum National Park Day Tour, Accra Guided City Tour: Cultural and Historical Experience. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Accra?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Accra?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
