A long drive
It’s a long drive to reach the destination and then a long drive back. Our guide was good giving us good and clear information. Be careful when booking as you have to select your lunch sandwich, chicken or veg or you get chicken. All in all a long day with with a nice walk to see penguins
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are glad to hear that you had the opportunity to see such a wide variety of wildlife, including sea lions, penguins, guanacos, and rheas. This region of Patagonia is well known for its remarkable wildlife, and we are pleased that you were able to enjoy it. As these natural areas are quite remote, the journey can sometimes be long and involve travelling on unpaved roads, which is part of accessing these protected environments. We appreciate your feedback and are happy you had the chance to experience this unique destination.

Plenty of Wildlife but a long hot day 🌞
Very long day with all the driving and it was very hot, but we did see lots of wildlife Stopped at the centre and got my passport stamped, only time whilst I was in Argentina. Kept stopping so that we could see the wildlife., but will admit travelling was slow and bumpy. Saw plenty of different seals; Elephant and Lion, saw Magellanic Penguins, Guanaco, horses, I think sheep and a Rhea. Pleased I got the chance to visit, and see some wildlife in Argentina. There were good parts and bad (travelling and transport broke down; air conditioning stopped), with that in mind I scored average

Loved seeing seals for...
Loved seeing seals for the first time! Baby seals were so cute to watch playing in the water. Views were stunning too. My only complaint was that all the information centres/displays etc the descriptions are in Spanish. I felt a bit lost and not able to appreciate the significance of things because I didn't understand. Although our guide did a wonderful job 🙂. She knew alot about the local wildlife. Driver was great too safely stopped every time the group asked so we can take a photo of the animals.
Response from the operator: Dear customer, Thank you very much for your feedback. We are delighted to hear that you had a positive experience with our services. We appreciate your choosing us! We look forward to welcoming you again!

Did not inform us they were leaving an hour earlier than scheduled. Luckily there were spaces on another small tour bus
Drive for 2 hours 30 minute through a desert to get to the beach. The viewing area was at least 120 meters from the animals. We were only there for 50 minutes. A lovely beach but not really worth the cost and time. Bring binoculars. All in all a disappointing experience
Response from the operator: We are sorry for your negative experience. The issue lies in the fact that you did not read the instructions we sent, where we clearly specified that the tour would depart 30 minutes after the arrival time. Our instructions also outlined how to locate our representative. In this port, excursions are full-day, hence the need to depart as quickly as possible.

Why this scores 57
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Exclusive Peninsula Valdes Nature & Wildlife for Cruise Guests: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Puerto Madryn.
How much does Exclusive Peninsula Valdes Nature & Wildlife for Cruise Guests cost?
+
Prices start at $140 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Puerto Madryn usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Exclusive Peninsula Valdes Nature & Wildlife for Cruise Guests take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Puerto Madryn is not rushed.
Is Exclusive Peninsula Valdes Nature & Wildlife for Cruise Guests worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 28 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Puerto Madryn, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Exclusive Peninsula Valdes Nature & Wildlife for Cruise Guests?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Exclusive Peninsula Valdes Nature & Wildlife for Cruise Guests suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Exclusive Peninsula Valdes Nature & Wildlife for Cruise Guests?
+
Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Puerto Madryn can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Puerto Madryn and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Exclusive Peninsula Valdes Nature & Wildlife for Cruise Guests start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Puerto Madryn within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Puerto Madryn?
+
On Outty we rank every Puerto Madryn experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Best of Peninsula Valdés in one day, Shore Tours Punta Tombo Cruise Ship Passengers Puerto Madryn, Snorkeling with Sea Lions by Madryn Buceo. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Puerto Madryn?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Puerto Madryn?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
