Most people would adore the opportunity to stand 8,848 meters above sea level on Mount Everest in an ideal world. Realistically, the most of us won't be able to accomplish this! However, if you have good physical condition and a strong will to succeed, you can reach Everest Base Camp! And if you ask me, Kalapatthar offers the most breathtaking Everest views you can see without having to spend weeks slogging up to the summit. This is a once-in-a-lifetime adventure; it's not a luxury tour. The type of lodging is a twin-share arrangement. With a nominal fee, access to hot showers, wifi, and power outlets is available. Where else can you have views of the Himalayan mountains from your window despite the apartments not being luxurious? Fresh Himalayan cuisine is served in the teahouses along the trail. Good physical condition is necessary. But we'll make sure you've adjusted to the altitude well. On the trek, we advise you to stay well-hydrated and limit your alcohol consumption.

A Journey Made Special by an Amazing Team

Our Everest Base Camp trekking journey would not have been the same without Accessible Adventure. From the very beginning, they cared for us like family and provided incredible guest service throughout the entire journey. A special thank you to Himal, who coordinated our trip and helped us with the planning from the start. He was always responsive, organized, and made sure everything was taken care of. Our guide, Mahindra, was absolutely amazing. He was knowledgeable, patient, supportive, and always looked out for our safety and comfort. His encouragement helped us push through some very challenging days at high altitude. And Shishir, who carried our bags and was always there to help us along the way, became more than just our porter. He truly felt like a younger brother to us. His kindness, hard work, and caring personality meant so much. We are incredibly grateful to the entire Accessible Adventure team for helping us accomplish our long-awaited dream of reaching Everest Base Camp. We came to Nepal as travelers and left with unforgettable memories, wonderful friendships, and a deeper appreciation for the beauty of Nepal. And one thing is certain—we are definitely coming back to Nepal! 🇳🇵❤️ We are already talking about our next adventure and thinking about taking on the Annapurna Circuit. Hopefully, we’ll be back with the Accessible Adventure family again! Thank you for taking such great care of us and making this journey so special. 🏔️❤️

    EBC Private Customized Trek

Fully customizable, private trekking plan. Was able to create a custom itinerary including EBC and Ama Dablam Base Camp, and we were also able to adjust our itinerary on the go whenever we wanted to cover more / less distance. Our guide Mahendra was excellent and has great connections with the tea houses which allowed us to have private rooms and hot showers for most of the trek, despite us changing our itinerary on a few occasions as the weather changed. Guide and porters were all very friendly and extremely accommodating to anything we needed to be more comfortable. Booking and planning process was also easy with Himal, who was extremely responsive and would normally reply to our messages and questions while planning the trek within a few hours. I would also highly recommend the hotel in Kathmandu (Suite Home), where they book you for before and after the trek.

    Customizable EBC trek

Had an excellent experience with our Everest Base Camp trek. They were able to coordinate with the needed guide and porters, as well as handle sightseeing trips and other activities. Everything went smoothly, with a reasonable cost. Will definitely choose them again. Hindi na kailangan makipagusap sa iba, isang tao lang ang nag asikaso ng lahat para sa amin. Maganda rin yung hotel nila, right in the middle of Thamel.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your nice thoughts and believing in us! We're delighted to hear your Everest Base Camp tour went smoothly and well-coordinated, from hiking logistics to your Thamel lodging. We sincerely appreciate your feedback and hope to provide you with another smooth adventure in the future. Salamat and see you soon!

Everest Base Camp and Ama Dablam Base Camp trek

Great local group with exceptional service Himal made things easy for us in the booking and management of the trip and Mahendra did a great job guiding and used his connections to get us rooms with private bathrooms and, more often than not, hot showers. Much better than I was expecting. Would recommend my friends and family to them without hesitation.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful feedback! We're delighted to hear the booking procedure went smoothly, and that Himal and Mahendra exceeded expectations—especially with the added comfort along the way. Your endorsement means a lot to us. We look forward to seeing you, your friends, and family for another fantastic experience soon!

Everest Base Camp Trek: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.

How much does Everest Base Camp Trek cost?

    +

Prices start at $1,169 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Everest Base Camp Trek take?

    +

Plan for about 336 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.

Is Everest Base Camp Trek worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 78 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 64 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Everest Base Camp Trek?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Everest Base Camp Trek suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 336-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Everest Base Camp Trek?

    +

Around 22 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 336-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Everest Base Camp Trek start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?

    +

On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kathmandu Sightseeing | UNESCO World Heritage sites Private/Group, Manaslu Circuit Trek, Manaslu Circuit Trek: Private Group & Discounte Price. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kathmandu?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
