My First Trip to the Himalayas
I was in Nepal from the 17 to 27 March 2026 for the Everest View Trek. It was my first time in Nepal and my guide was Urja Tamang . He was at Kathmandu airport to receive me when I arrived. Our trek commenced with a flight to Lukla from Kathmandu on the Twin Otter plane . We then trekked from Lukla to Namche Bazaar over the next few days . From Namche we went up to view Mt Everest at the Everest View Hotel. We then travelled by helicopter to Kala Patthar to have a closer view of Mt Everest before travelling back by helicopter to Lukla. It was an amazing experience for me , a first time trekker in Nepal. Urja was a tremendous guide with his experience and excellent organisation. He was patient and guided me all along . The hotels and guest houses were good and I got to taste much Nepalese food . I truly am grateful to Urja who made my first trip to the Himalayas so enjoyable and successful. Thank you Urja . I full recommend Urja to future Himalayan trekkers . He is excellent, reliable, experienced and caring .
Response from the operator: Dear Dr. Wong Sir, I thank you so much lovely your reviews us very appreciate that & I hope will see you soon again, Namaste!

Memorable First Trip to Nepal
I travelled to Nepal from 2–16 March 2026 for my first Himalayan experience, and overall had a very positive experience with this tour company. Although I was unfortunately unable to reach Namche Bazaar due to a severe headache and only made it as far as Monjo, I truly appreciated the care and professionalism shown by our tour operator, Urja. He was very attentive and genuinely concerned about my condition, promptly providing paracetamol and mentholated balm to help ease the discomfort. He also thoughtfully arranged for a guide, Dhurba, to safely accompany me back down to Phakding. Urja was also very considerate of personal needs — he made arrangements for me to have meatless meals on Fridays without any hassle. In Pokhara, he even took our group on a walkabout through a local morning market, which gave us a lovely glimpse into everyday life there. Additionally, when our flight out of Lukla was delayed due to bad weather, the team went the extra mile to ensure our comfort. As there were no hot showers available, Urja arranged for pails of hot water so we could bathe — a simple but deeply appreciated gesture after a long trek. While I didn’t complete the full journey as planned, the kindness, responsiveness, and level of care shown throughout made a lasting impression. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone planning a trip to Nepal.
Response from the operator: Dear Madam. Jo-Ann, I thank you so much lovely your reviews us very appreciate that. I am really glad to work with your team and I hope that again will be your guiding in Nepal, Namaste!

Inoblidable Experiència
Mr. Urja's service was excellent from beginning to end. Both I and my partner, who have experience in these services, had never encountered this logistical precision. You pay the price but throughout the trip we did not have to worry about anything. We did the EBC and Australian Camp trekking with him, in addition he organized other visits suitable for our spiritual concerns about the country and stays in places as special as Bhaktapur. He answered all our curiosities and experiences and carried them out in an excellent way ... Without a doubt, this makes our experience in Nepal very enriching and emotionally very positive. We will return with Mr. Urja without a doubt.
Response from the operator: Dear Mr. Enric Sir, Lhaso, I thank you so much for your lovely reviews to us. I am very appreciated you enjoyed your trekking in Nepal with us and that's our pleasure to work you and your teams. I hope again see you soon in Nepal, Lhaso!!!

Well Organised
This is our second journey to Nepal, and this time it was for the Everest Base Camp (EBC) trek. We want to express our sincere thanks to Mr. Urja from Alliance Adventure for organizing an incredible trip. Our guide, Aashish, was absolutely lovely person. He took such great care of all of us, incredibly patience in answering our questions and constantly advising us to take slow steady steps as we made our way to the base camp. He ensure everything was ready for us at the end of each day. Aashish always carries essential medications for any issues like AMS or diarrhoea. On top of all that, he’s a good photographer, capturing beautiful moments of us with the stunning mountain views. We had a really positive overall experience with Alliance Adventure.
Response from the operator: Dear Mr. Micheal Sir, I thank you so much for your lovely reviews us and very appreciate work with you. I hope will be again your guide in Himalayas.

This is What 5 Star Service Looks Like
This is our second trip to Nepal and we did EBC this time. From the moment we landed till we are meeting the founder (Urja) tonight, everything was taken care of perfectly. Our guide Ashish was just the best; the most encouraging and patient. He answers all our questions relentlessly and helped organise everything from food to accommodation with immense care. Urja and team, u guys are the best!!!! When we come back for other treks, it will be only with you.
Response from the operator: Dear Madam. Sri Devi, I thank you so much for your lovely reviews us very appreciate that and that's our pleasure. I wish you always success your mission and I hope again work with you and your team in Nepal Mountains.

Why this scores 64
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Everest Base Camp Trek: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.
How much does Everest Base Camp Trek cost?
+
Prices start at $1,850 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Everest Base Camp Trek take?
+
Plan for about 384 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.
Is Everest Base Camp Trek worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Everest Base Camp Trek?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Everest Base Camp Trek suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 384-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Everest Base Camp Trek?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 384-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Everest Base Camp Trek start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?
+
On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kathmandu Sightseeing | UNESCO World Heritage sites Private/Group, Manaslu Circuit Trek, Manaslu Circuit Trek: Private Group & Discounte Price. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kathmandu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
