Adventure to EBC and Kala Patthar

Gokul’s team was kind and responsive, and they provided excellent support with everything from airport transfers to Kathmandu to city tours and trekking. I’m truly grateful that they even arranged an unexpected surprise after I reached Everest Base Camp and the summit of Kala Patthar. The local guide was very proactive in pointing out local flora and fauna and teaching me about the culture, which was a great learning experience.

    Thank you Harka

I did the EBC Basecamp tour in March and had the best time. Everything went smoothly and I enjoyed myself throughout. My guide Harker was super professional, attentive and caring and completely made the experience as good as it could possibly be. Thank you Harker ! I would definitely recommend outshine and specifically Harker for any solo female travellers or any groups at all !

    One off the Bucket list...

Amazing experience... The Outshine Adventure team was so on the ball and prepared- It was very reassuring. Right from the day 1 when we met with Gokul ji, Asmita and Som ji (our very experienced guide), everything was laid out in very simple terms and the itinerary was clear for us to plan for. It was a hard trek but at no time did we feel left out or under prepared. There was constant communication and any tweaks in the schedule were agreed collaboratively. I would recommend anyone thinking of doing a 15day EBC trek (or a shorter version) to get in touch with Outshine Adventure team. I am sure it would be trip of a lifetime...#one-off-the-bucket-list

    EBC Trek

We have recently come back from an EBC trek organised with Gokul through Outshine. He is an absolute gentleman and made our stay very welcoming and made it a point to spend time with us both before and after the trek. Everything was organised and he managed to work through the airport chaos to ensure that we had our flights sorted and rearranged as needed. Our guide Bikash together with our porters Harka & Siam ensured our trekking experience was not lacking anything. After our trek, we spent a couple of nights at Gokul’s hotel - Kathmandu Suite Home. Would definitely recommend Outshine to anyone looking at planning a trek in Nepal

Everest Base Camp Trek - 15 days: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.

How much does Everest Base Camp Trek - 15 days cost?

    +

Prices start at $1375 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Everest Base Camp Trek - 15 days take?

    +

Plan for about 360 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.

Is Everest Base Camp Trek - 15 days worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 44 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Everest Base Camp Trek - 15 days?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Everest Base Camp Trek - 15 days suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 360-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Everest Base Camp Trek - 15 days?

    +

Around 15 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 360-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Everest Base Camp Trek - 15 days start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?

    +

On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour | UNESCO World Heritage sites, Classic Everest Base Camp Trek, Manaslu Circuit Trek. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kathmandu?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
