Unforgettable life experience
We were extremely satisfied with our Everest Base Camp trek with Life Himalaya Trekking. From the moment we were picked up at the airport, everything was organized perfectly. Due to weather conditions, the company arranged a helicopter flight for us, which made the start of our adventure even more special. Our guide, Rabin, was exceptional. He was kind, caring, and looked after us every step of the way. Whenever we felt unwell, he made sure we were comfortable and helped us recover. His knowledge of the mountains, careful approach to acclimatization, and genuine care for our well-being allowed us to continue the journey safely. Most importantly, he treated us like family, making the entire trek feel like a trip with friends rather than a guided tour. Our porter, Arjun, was equally amazing. He was always cheerful, funny, and incredibly helpful. During acclimatization hikes and challenging moments, he even helped with our backpacks when we were struggling. His positive attitude made every day more enjoyable. Both Rabin and Arjun are true gems and a huge asset to the company. We cannot thank them enough for everything they did for us. A special thank you also goes to Shiba, the owner of Life Himalaya Trekking. He was friendly, professional, and made our experience truly special from beginning to end. I also had a unique experience during this trip as I participated in the Everest Marathon. Rabin and Arjun came to support me, pace me, and cheer me on during the final kilometers, helping me reach the finish line. It meant so much to me and is something I will never forget. Thank you, Life Himalaya Trekking, for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We are incredibly grateful for the memories, friendships, and support we received throughout this unforgettable adventure. With love and gratitude, Dominika
Response from the operator: Namaste Dominika, You were a true inspiration for us. We want to congratulate you again for your successful Everest Marathon on May 29, 2026. You guys truly made us happy and proud that we could be a part of this beautiful journey, and thank you for choosing Life Himalaya. Regards, Shiba

Gokyo EBC trek
I was recommended Life Himalaya Trekking by a friend when I was searching for a reliable local company that could offer safety, reassurance, and flexibility—especially as I was planning to trek solo in the Himalayas. From the outset, Shiba was approachable and responsive, maintaining clear communication both before and throughout the trek, which made a big difference. He helped design a customised itinerary covering the Gokyo–Cho La Pass route through to Everest Base Camp, tailored to my pace and preferences. My guide, Rabin, was excellent—enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and very intuitive. He understood my pace well, never rushing me, but keeping a steady rhythm that allowed me to enjoy each village and stage of the trek. A special mention also goes to our porter, Balram, who was incredibly supportive and dependable throughout. What stood out even before the trek began was the level of care—Shiba and his team (including Raj) went out of their way to help when my baggage didn’t arrive in Kathmandu due to an airline issue. That level of support immediately gave me confidence I was in good hands. Throughout the trek, everything was well organised—accommodation, food, and overall logistics were taken care of seamlessly. My comfort and safety were clearly a priority at all times. They were also very flexible, happily adjusting the final day’s plan so I could spend an extra day in Kathmandu to relax after the trek. Overall, Shiba and his team are true professionals who made what is a once-in-a-lifetime experience both enjoyable and stress-free. I would highly recommend Life Himalaya Trekking to anyone planning an adventure in Nepal, particularly trekking in the Himalayas.
Response from the operator: Namaste Ganesh , Thank you sincerely for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and detailed review. We’re truly grateful for your trust in Life Himalaya Trekking, and it’s wonderful to hear that your Everest Base Camp journey was such a positive and meaningful experience. Shiba will be very happy to know his planning, communication, and guidance met your expectations from the very beginning. We always strive to ensure every detail is handled smoothly, so you can focus fully on enjoying the trek. We’re especially glad to hear your kind words about Bala Ram and Sagar. A dedicated porter and a knowledgeable, caring guide can make all the difference at high altitude, and it’s great to know they supported you so well throughout the journey. Sagar will be proud to hear that his guidance and companionship helped you reach Base Camp safely—and that the experience created such a strong bond. Your feedback about safety, preparation, and overall care means a lot to us. We’re committed to responsible trekking practices and ensuring every guest feels supported every step of the way. Thank you again for choosing Life Himalaya Trekking. We hope to welcome you back for another adventure in Nepal in the future! regards Life himalaya trekking

Best trip ever!
This trek was unbelievable! I was lucky enough to get Pramod Rai as my guide and he was amazing! He was extremely knowledgeable, attentive and always made me feel super safe. Everything was handled for me so all I had to do was show up which made the trek so much easier and more enjoyable. Pramod was constantly motivating and encouraging me when the trek got a little harder and I felt like he always had my best interest in mind and truly wanted to see me succeed and make it to base camp. 10/10 would recommend this trek and company to anyone!!
Response from the operator: Dear Kate, Thank you for your wonderful feedback. We’re truly delighted to hear that your journey to luxury Everest Base Camp was such an unforgettable experience. It’s especially great to know that Pramod Rai made such a positive impact on your trek. His knowledge, attentiveness, and commitment to safety are exactly what we strive to provide on every trip. Guiding in the Himalayas is not just about reaching the destination, but ensuring each guest feels confident, supported, and motivated along the way — and it’s clear Pramod delivered on all fronts. We’re also pleased that the overall organization allowed you to simply enjoy the journey without worry. A well-managed trek makes a significant difference, particularly on demanding routes like Annapurna Base Camp. Your recommendation means a lot to us, and we truly appreciate you choosing Life Himalaya Trekking. We hope to welcome you back for another adventure in Nepal in the future. Warm regards, Life Himalaya Trekking

AMAZING! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
My husband, brother and I did the 15 day EBC trek Nov. 2025 with Life Himalaya Trekking. Raj was our guide, and Suren and Sonam were our porters. The trek far exceeded our expectations. The views were stunning and landscapes changed everyday! The best hike I’ve ever done! It was a trip of a lifetime and we will be coming back to do more trekking in Nepal. Our guide Raj looked after everything! We had great food, accommodation and advice along the way! He shared information about life in the area and the landscape and wildlife that just added depth to our experience. He’s also an expert photographer, our pictures are top notch! And he made sure we got to the great picture spots before the crowds so we have tone of pictures. Start to finish, Raj went above and beyond to make sure we were looked after and to make this hike an enjoyable and memorable experience! Our porters Suren and Sonam were also amazing, we could not have done this without them! They worked so hard everyday and did it with a smile. They brought the laughs and good vibes to our group, and we enjoyed getting to know them. I highly recommend using Life Himalaya, when we return we will be! And will also be requesting to have the same team join us.
Response from the operator: Hello Edawnf, Thank you for such an enthusiastic and heartfelt review. We’re truly delighted to hear that your 15-day journey to Everest Base Camp exceeded expectations and became a trip of a lifetime for you, your husband, and your brother. It’s especially rewarding to know that Raj provided exceptional guidance throughout the trek. His attention to detail, knowledge of the region, and ability to anticipate the best moments—whether for acclimatization or photography—are qualities we deeply value. Creating a smooth experience with good food, comfortable teahouses, and meaningful insights into local life is exactly what we strive for, and we’re glad this added depth to your adventure. We also sincerely appreciate your kind words about Suren and Sonam. Porters are the backbone of any successful Himalayan trek, and their hard work, positivity, and team spirit make a significant difference on long journeys like Everest Base Camp. It’s great to hear they brought both support and good energy to your group. The Everest region offers constantly changing landscapes and unforgettable views, and we’re pleased you were able to fully enjoy every moment. Thank you again for trusting Life Himalaya Trekking and for your strong recommendation. We would be honored to welcome you back for your next Himalayan adventure—and we’ll certainly do our best to arrange the same wonderful team for you. Warm regards, Life Himalaya Trekking Team

100 % Recommended
My wife and I did the ABC trek & the EBC trek followed by Gokyo, Chola pass & Renjo la pass in November. We do not hesitate to recommend Life Himalaya trekking. Mr Shiba was incredibly efficient, professional, responsive & helpful in creating and massaging our trip plans. Our guides were outstanding (thanks Kiran & Binnie !) & they made suggestions to modify our itinerary once they had a feel for our abilities ie. we added the Renjo la pass which was spectacular. Sundesh & Nishan were a great help as💪🏽 well. We are usually easy clients but we had some last minute requests & changes. The company was very patient & reacted quickly to solve all issues. We loved the fact that this Nepalese company was built from scratch by Shiba who started as a porter, then guide. His employees are very loyal & it is clear that he runs the company with everyone's best interests in mind. Shiba also gives back to his communities with many social programs, he has built a school, helps his employees & plants trees for each client he serves. He is also committed to garbage reduction on the treks. These guys will take care of you and go above and beyond to give you an unforgettable experience. 100 % !! Namaste !
Response from the operator: Namaste Dji, Thank you for your outstanding review and for placing your trust in Life Himalaya Trekking. We are truly honored to have been part of your Himalayan journey, covering both Annapurna Base Camp and Everest Base Camp, along with the spectacular Gokyo and high passes adventure. It is especially rewarding to hear your appreciation for Shiba’s dedication in planning and adapting your itinerary. Flexibility is essential in the mountains, and we are pleased that last-minute changes were handled efficiently to enhance your overall experience. Your kind words about Kiran and Binnie are greatly appreciated. Their ability to assess clients’ capabilities and सुझाव meaningful adjustments—such as including the breathtaking Renjo La Pass—is what defines a truly professional guiding team. We are also glad Sundesh and Nishan contributed positively to your trek. We are proud to be a locally built Nepali company, and your recognition of Shiba’s journey—from porter to company founder—means a great deal. Supporting our team, contributing to local communities, and promoting responsible trekking practices remain at the heart of what we do. Thank you once again for your strong recommendation. It was a privilege to serve you, and we look forward to welcoming you back for another unforgettable Himalayan experience. Namaste, Life Himalaya Trekking Team

Why this scores 78
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Everest Base Camp Trek 15 days | Local Guide | Flexible Itinerary: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.
How much does Everest Base Camp Trek 15 days | Local Guide | Flexible Itinerary cost?
+
Prices start at $1890 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Everest Base Camp Trek 15 days | Local Guide | Flexible Itinerary take?
+
Plan for about 360 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.
Is Everest Base Camp Trek 15 days | Local Guide | Flexible Itinerary worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 78 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 30 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Everest Base Camp Trek 15 days | Local Guide | Flexible Itinerary?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Everest Base Camp Trek 15 days | Local Guide | Flexible Itinerary suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 2. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 360-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Everest Base Camp Trek 15 days | Local Guide | Flexible Itinerary?
+
Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 360-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Everest Base Camp Trek 15 days | Local Guide | Flexible Itinerary start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?
+
On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour | UNESCO World Heritage sites, Classic Everest Base Camp Trek, Manaslu Circuit Trek. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kathmandu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
