About this experience
Follow the footsteps of legendary climber’s sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa to the highest peak in the world, Everest, and its trek to base camp. Everest Base Camp Trek offers awe-inspiring Himalayan panoramas, alpine glaciers, unique local culture, high altitude trekking, and a wide range of flora and fauna. If you are a hiker or fan of hiking who loves to hike then this trek is piece of cake for you, this is one of the most inspiring places in the world to do it, a paradise for trekkers. Our typical Everest Base Camp Trek is a fully guided trek that offers sensational mountain views and an insight into the lives of the Sherpa people. The trek officially begins with an amazing short mountain flight from Kathmandu to Lukla from where we start our trekking officially once we landed at the Tenzing Hillary airport, and trek towards Phakding walking through the magnificent local villages of Sherpa people along with the bank of Dudh Kosi River, surrounded by the soaring peaks

Great Trek
Had such a great experience doing EBC with this team! Everything was really well organised from start to finish. Dil was super responsive and helpful whenever I had any questions, and a massive shoutout to Samir and Sunam, who were both absolutely brilliant throughout the trek. Samir was a great guide and made the harder days a lot easier, and Sunam was kind and hardworking. Also a big thank you to Kumar, who was my driver in Kathmandu and was always so friendly and reliable. Really couldn’t have asked for a better company to do EBC with. Would 100% recommend!

Amazing experience
My experience with Alpine Ramble Treks on the Everest Base Camp trek was absolutely unforgettable. From the organization and logistics to the support throughout the journey, everything was handled with great professionalism and care. A very special mention goes to my guide, Arpan, who was truly exceptional. He was knowledgeable, attentive, patient and incredibly supportive throughout the entire trek. Arpan always made sure that i was comfortable, safe and enjoying the experience, while also sharing fascinating insights about the mountains, the local culture and the people of the region. His positive attitude and good humor made the difficult moments much easier and the great moments even more special. Having Arpan as my guide made a huge difference. He went far beyond simply guiding me from one place to another — he genuinely cared about my experience and became an important part of the journey. I would wholeheartedly recommend Alpine Ramble Treks, and especially Arpan, to anyone dreaming of doing the Everest Base Camp trek. This was an incredible adventure that I will remember for the rest of my life. Thank you, Alpine Ramble Treks and Arpan, for making it so special! 🏔️❤️

Unbelievable experience on EBC trail
Absolutely outstanding experience with Prem Tamang (porter) & Dil Man Gurung (guide) at Alpine Ramble Treks. Me and two friends travelled to Nepal to complete the EBC trail, things didn’t go to plan from the outset when my bag didn’t arrive in Kathmandu, the Alpine Ramble team supported & helped with liaising with the baggage reclaim team at the airport, a few days later it arrived & the team confirmed it securely stored in the hotel, they also provided me with lots of replacement equipment that I used throughout the trek which meant I didn’t have to rebuy everything. As for the trek itself, Dil Man & Prem could not have done more for us, they make an amazing duo. Throughout the trip they were constantly on hand making sure we had everything we needed from hot drinks to food, checking in on us and our health. Every night, Dil Man would do a mission brief on the next day on what we should expect, we really liked this. Dil Man takes a very careful & cautious approach when ascending on the EBC trail, carefully overseeing any of the symptoms we were presenting, ensuring these were mild and not getting progressively worse - he always stands behind safety first and that’s important for us as clients. We also were tight for time to compete the trail, which we mitigated by doing some longer walking days on the return journey, it was importantly not to skip either of our two acclimatisation days. Prem was exceptional throughout - he has the biggest smile and such positive attitude, he set a fantastic pace for us throughout the trip ensuring we were not going to fast or two slow. He always made sure we were comfortable, hopefully one day he will progress onto guiding. We successfully completed EBC safely, this is accredited to Dil Man & Prem, thank you guys, you are awesome & a credit to your company. Do not be put off by travelling in the monsoon season, it only rained on our very last day and we pretty much had the trail to ourselves!

Everest Base Camp Trek Review 🔥
We couldn’t have asked for a better team for our Everest Base Camp trek. A huge thank you to our guide, Dil Man Gurung, and our porter, Prem Tamang, for making this such an unforgettable experience. From the very beginning, Dil’s attention to detail was outstanding. He always made sure everyone was safe, comfortable, and well looked after, while taking the time to explain the route, answer questions, and guide us through every stage of the trek. He struck the perfect balance of being supportive without ever being pushy, allowing us to go at our own pace while always keeping a close eye on how we were feeling. His calm, positive attitude gave us complete confidence throughout the journey. Prem was equally incredible. He was always smiling, incredibly hardworking, and nothing was ever too much trouble. His kindness, willingness to help, and constant positivity made every day that little bit easier. We were so grateful for everything he did behind the scenes to make the trek run smoothly. Together, Dil and Prem created a friendly, supportive, and safe environment that made the whole experience even more special. Trekking to Everest Base Camp is something we’ll never forget, and we’re so glad we got to share the journey with them. We would happily book with Alpine Ramble Treks again in the future and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone considering a trek in Nepal. Thank you again, Dil and Prem, for your professionalism, kindness, and for helping create memories that will last a lifetime!

The best local company in nepal for everest base camp trek
It was life changing experience that l regret l didn't do this before. My guide Busatna did everything possible in supporting me on my journey and off course it wasn't possible without Sonan who carry all my gear. I would definitely recommend not doing a trek in Nepal on your own and if you are looking for a company to go trekking with in Nepal l would highly recommend Alpine Ramble

Why this scores 94
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Everest Base Camp Trek -14 Days: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.
How much does Everest Base Camp Trek -14 Days cost?
+
Prices start at $1145 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Everest Base Camp Trek -14 Days take?
+
Plan for about 312 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.
Is Everest Base Camp Trek -14 Days worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 94 out of 100, which we label "90+ Club". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 365 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are. Scoring 90 or above puts it in the Outty 90+ Club, the top tier of everything we rank.
Can I cancel or reschedule Everest Base Camp Trek -14 Days?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Everest Base Camp Trek -14 Days suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 312-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Everest Base Camp Trek -14 Days?
+
Around 128 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 312-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Everest Base Camp Trek -14 Days start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?
+
On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour | UNESCO World Heritage sites, Manaslu Circuit Trek, Kathmandu Food and Drink Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kathmandu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
