Don't hesitate! They're probably the best Trekking company I've ever met!
I did a trip to EBC with Trekking Planner, and it turned out to be one of my best decisions so far!!! Here are the reasons why I strongly recommend them: 1. The itinerary: You can find all the details of the trip in their website. They basically considered EVERYTHING, and everything included in the package tour is already listed. Trust me, they know what you need more than you do. 2. The guide and the porter: Our tour guide, Kiran and our porter, Some are SUPERB. During a trip like this, safety always comes first, and I felt incredibly safe having Kiran as our guide. He is a very experienced guide, and he can always solve our problems in time during the whole trip. Besides, you can truly feel his love and passion of this job and the mountains, which makes him stand out amongst all the other guides. Having Kiran as our guide, made my trip more unforgettable. As for our porter Some, he always arrived way earlier than us, and our duffle bags were carried carefully without anything broken. 3. The owner: Due to poor weather, there was very few helicopter available in the last day of our trip. However, the owner of the Trekking Planner, Dipak still managed to get us back to Kathmandu in the very last minute through tons of arrangements and phone calls. You can truly feel that he does CARE about all his clients and alwsys does his best. If you're considering doing trekking in Nepal, just go for Trekking Planner, and they will bring you an unforgettable trip.

Wonderful experience! 10/10 recommend
I came across trekking planner during my search for outfitters to plan a trip to EBC. Then a friend also recommended them. From the moment I reached out to Dipak, he made the process easy. Despite the time difference, he was responsive and communicated in a timely manner. Honestly, they offered the best price with all the services built in. We were treated with utmost respect and friendliness from the moment we landed. All of his staff were friendly and kind. We were treated to a welcome dinner which was quite an experience. The trek itself was arranged and everything from tea houses to meals were taken care of. Our guide got sick day 3 of the trek and within an hour we had a new guide - I can't say enough good things about FT Sherpa who was attentive, knowledgable, friendly, and took care of us and guided us to Everest base camp. Ask for him when booking your trip and you will not be disappointed. We took a helicopter back to Lukla and that was a great experience. Overall would pick trekking planner again for next trip to Nepal. They are the best! and FT rocks!!
Response from the operator: Dear SumaiyaZaidi, Namaste, and thank you for your excellent review. We are glad that we could provide an exceptional experience on your Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour. We found that you mentioned our company owner, Mr. Dipak. We are happy to see you acknowledge his hard work and his responsiveness. It feels like he is there to help any of our clients 24/7. Talking about your Guide FT Sherpa, he is indeed an exceptional individual. His dedication to work and hospitality won't go unnoticed. We are glad that he could provide you with a fantastic experience despite some health issues. Thank you for your recommendation. We are genuinely motivated by this. This is an unforgettable journey.
We are a two-person team. Participated in the Poon Hill route trip from April 1st to April 4th Trekking Companies plan itineraries and arrange guide and porter As they were not familiar with the mountain road conditions and had not trained their physical fitness beforehand, it brought extra burden to Mr. Achyut and Mr. Govinda. Thank you very much Mr. Achyut and Mr. Govinda. for your great help. Example : guider Mr.Achyut 1. Observe the detail of the customer. Such as walking posture, stride length and strength, breathing speed. 2. If the customer's physical condition changes, they will provide immediate care 3.Will help customers carry their carry-on bags, so that they can walk easily. 4.Will provide you with pertinent suggestions on the route and accommodation arrangements. 5.Because the customer walks slowly the guide will walk with you 6.We will adjust the client’s food to see if it is suitable for their current physical conditior, for example : don’t eat foods that produce gas, don’t eat dry foods, how much sugar to add to lemonade. 7. Will check if there are enough ingredients in the kitch. After the meal. .Asked the customer what they thought of the meal. 8.Before watching the sunrise will confirm whether the customer’s assembly is sufficient 9. A cup of hot water will be served to customers when watching the sunrise 10.Find a good place to take photos Example : porter Mr. Govinda 1. Carrying two people's luggage did not delay the trip 2.Take good care of your luggage 3. Although carrying a heavy load, he walked at the back because the customer was slow 4. Will help customers take photos This is an unforgettable journey. The right guide and porter are very important.
Response from the operator: Dear Camper, Thank you for sharing such a detailed and thoughtful review! We are thrilled to hear that your Poon Hill trek with Trekking Planner was an unforgettable experience. Achyut and Govinda are indeed exceptional—your recognition of their care, attentiveness, and support throughout the trek truly reflects their dedication. Everest short trek (4 days)
I did the four-day hike to the Everest View Hotel with my mom. I can really recommend this hike to anyone who wants to do a bit of hiking in a short amount of time. Despite my spontaneous booking, Dipak was able to organize everything immediately, so we were able to start just a few days later. The hike was fantastic. We had great weather, and we were both thrilled by the view from the top. Our guide, Sudip, was with us the entire four days and was able to help us in every situation (especially my mom, who got a little injured on the first day). Thanks to Dipak for the excellent organization. But especially thanks to Sudip for the help, the patience and for motivating my mom to keep going!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful experience! Sudip’s attentiveness, patience, and ability to assist your mom after her injury showcase the dedication and care our guides aim to provide. Why this scores 66
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.
How much does Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $1699 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.
Is Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 18 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 16. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?
+
On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour | UNESCO World Heritage sites, Manaslu Circuit Trek, Kathmandu Food and Drink Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kathmandu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
