Amazing EBC trek and Chitwan fun :)
What an epic adventure!!! We book this trip 9 months in advance. I did not know how to choose the right agency for our EBC trek, but the moment I started to communicate with Bhagwat, I was sold. He was simply amazing, replied to any of my silly questions, always there. Even when I requested to slightly change our EBC itinerary and spent one night in the renowned Everest View Hotel that was no issue for Bhagwat. Although the Lukla airport weather is so unpredictable and I have seen many hikers, who were unsuccessfully trying catch the plane there for many days, we were successful on the very next day. Due to the excellent and open communication with the agency, we knew ahead that our only chance to meet our itinerary is the helicopter. It goes without saying that the whole EBC trek was simply stunning. Beautiful people, picturesque nature, incredible views, whole EBC trek was simply stunning. During our EBC trek we were accompanied by our perfect, knowledgeable and always smiling guide Badri and our even more grinning and admirably strong and fast porters Maden and Milan. Thank you guys for making our days and giving us the strength to make it till the final day :) Oh, as our EBC trek went smoothly, we booked with Bhagwat also 2 nights in Chitwan. What an adventure :) Thanks to Bhagwat and his team, the whole Nepal trip was one extraordinary adventure. Definitely will come back :) Thank you!!!

Helicopter to Everest South Base Camp
Went with my wife and 2 teenage children on the Helicopter to Everest South Base Camp. I have probably been to 50 countries on every continent. I have seen natural wonders all over the world. I have taken helicopter rides through the Grand Canyon, along the Napali coast of Hawaii and to the top of the Matterhorn. I have been all over the Rocky Mountains, the Alps, and the Andes. This helicopter ride from Kathmandu to Everest South Base camp was by far the most spectacular thing I have ever seen in my life!! Even before this trip I had been to both Tibet and Nepal. I had even already been to Everest North Base Camp on an earlier trip. I thought I knew what to expect and my expectations were already set pretty high. I wondered if the relatively high cost of the trip was worth it. I can now say it was worth every penny. I was blown away by how good it was! If you have time to do the full trek to base camp I am sure that is an awesome experience. However, if you don't have the energy or the time to make the two week trek this is probably the best way to see the very heart of the highest mountains on earth. Seeing Everest is only just a small part of the experience. The only downside of doing something like this is that it is all downhill for any other trip. I can't imagine I will ever see anything more spectacular on this planet in my lifetime. My experience with Bhagwat Simkhada at Himalayan adventure was superb. Top notch operation! Highly recommended!
Response from the operator: Dear Victor, Namaste and warm greetings from Himalayan Adventure Treks & Tours. Thank you for your lovely words. With regards Bhagwat Simkhada

Why this scores 58
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.
How much does Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $2400 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.
Is Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 10. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?
+
On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour | UNESCO World Heritage sites, Manaslu Circuit Trek, Kathmandu Food and Drink Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kathmandu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
