I had done my Everest heli trip like 2 months ago. It was such a memorable experience for me and my friends. We could see the Everest the highest point and epic views of the Himalayas. The service from our guide was top notch. I still look at the memories back and think of way I can go back again and relive those moments. Excellent team and Guide Prakash is 11 out of 10

My journey with sublime trails was one of the most adventurous one in my life, the 1 day tour of helicopter to Everest base camp was incredible. Ram and the guide Prakash were polite and respectful, they managed my tip from start to end smoothly, also I didn't expect food to be that much good. My guide Prakash pointed me every mountain we see with our eyes, but i only remember few while i am writing this. He is 10 out of 10 guide and I recommend to choose him. Anyone thinking of doing 1 day tour in Nepal and has short time then do this one day helicopter tour, worth every penny.

my first Nepal trip

I am from Tibet and I come to Nepal for see Everest by helicopter with Sublime Trails. I want to say this was one of best experience in my life. Ram is very kind man. He explain everything to me nicely before the tour and make me feel comfortable, even my English is not so good. He answer all my questions and make sure I understand everything about the trip.Our guide Bibek was also very good. He take good care of us during whole trip and explain about the mountains we are seeing. He very friendly and patient with us.The helicopter flight was amazing. We fly very close to Everest and other big mountains, so beautiful I cannot explain in words. My heart was so happy to see this view. this moment I will remember forever.Everything was organize very well, from booking to the flight, no problem at all. Thank you so much Ram and Bibek and all Sublime Trails team for this wonderful experience.

Promised experiences not delivered — poor communication throughout

We specifically chose this more expensive package over cheaper alternatives because of Sublime Trails' outstanding 5-star reviews on TripAdvisor. Unfortunately, our experience did not tally with what those reviews promised, or with what we were told before booking. Our guide and porter were genuinely excellent: I want to be fair — our guide Bibek was professional, knowledgeable, and attentive throughout the trek, and our porter worked hard and was reliable every day. This part of the trip lived up to the reviews, and we're grateful to them. But the tour itself did not match what we paid for: We booked the Everest Base Camp Tour 5 Days specifically for the helicopter landing at Everest Base Camp, which Ram confirmed multiple times before booking. Even on our very last night before the flight, we were kept completely in the dark — no one told us anything had changed only that night. At that point it was too late to make any other decision except to follow with the flow of helicopter around Everest point It was only after the trip, when I raised the issue, that Ram explained he hadn't actually obtained the permit for landing. Even then, he did not seem to feel he had done anything wrong — there was no real acknowledgment that we had been kept in the dark about something this significant, right up until the morning it happened. Last-minute schedule change caused real inconvenience: One day before departure, Ram asked if we could fly to Lukla a day earlier due to weather concerns. While I understand the reasoning, this meant I had to cancel an additional night I'd already booked in Kathmandu, receiving only a partial refund — a cost and inconvenience that was never acknowledged. Itinerary changed without our input: At Namche Bazaar, our guide told us we would spend two extra nights at the teahouse because there was a "day to kill" in the schedule. I had to insist on sticking to the original itinerary so I could keep the extra nights I'd arranged in Kathmandu. This should have been discussed with us in advance, not decided unilaterally. For USD 2,400 per pax, marketed and repeatedly confirmed around an EBC helicopter landing, this fell well short of what was promised — and the lack of honesty and accountability afterward made it worse.

Response from the operator: Dear Melissa, Thank you for your detailed feedback, and for the kind words about Bibek and porter, we'll be sure to pass that along to them. We sincerely regret that the planned helicopter landing at Kala Patthar could not take place and understand your disappointment. The helicopter service was included in your package, but operations in the Everest region are subject to aviation permissions, weather, safety and operational conditions. On this occasion, the planned landing could not be completed because of circumstances beyond our control, although we worked to adjust the itinerary and complete the trip as smoothly as possible. Following the trip, I personally invited you to meet so I could listen to your concerns carefully and discuss the matter respectfully. Unfortunately, you declined the meeting and rejected my phone call. It would have been better if we could have discussed the situation in person. So that both parties could understand the situation better. On the schedule change: on August 4, we suggested adjusting the itinerary because the forecast for August 5 was already showing cloudy and rainy conditions, which you noticed as well. Our concern was that waiting could have meant losing the helicopter tour altogether, so we adjusted the plan to make sure you would at least get the flyover above Everest Base Camp rather than risk the tour being cancelled completely. We stand by the value of this package — picking up from Hotel Everest view by helicopter and fly over Everest base camp (above 6000m) and bringing back to Kathmandu involves real operational cost and risk, and we priced it accordingly, not to cut corners. We respect every guest's right to provide honest feedback. However, we believe it is important that the circumstances are represented fairly. We are sorry for the disappointment and are committed to improving our communication and service so our guests have the clearest possible expectations before travelling.

We had the absolute pleasure of trekking to Everest Base Camp with Prakash as our guide, and the experience could not have been better. From the very beginning, he made sure every detail was taken care of—prioritizing our safety, ensuring we were well-fed each day, and making sure we stayed warm and comfortable after long hours of trekking. Prakash went above and beyond in every way. On icy and rocky paths, he literally held my hand to make sure I didn’t fall, showing not only professionalism but genuine care. His attentiveness and kindness made the journey feel safe and supported at every step. Thanks to his guidance, we reached base camp on day 8 exactly as planned, and the entire trek felt seamless. His customer service is truly the best I’ve ever experienced, and I couldn’t recommend him more highly to anyone considering this adventure. If you’re planning to trek to Everest Base Camp, Prakash is the guide you want by your side.
