DO NOT BOOK this tour

I do not recommend! They are unreliable. I had a private tour for 4 booked and they messaged me to arrange the details. Less than 24 hours before the tour, they cancelled with no reason given. No notice. It is very unprofessional and I would not recommend anyone put their trust in this operator. We had no other options and didn’t find an alternate tour because we had no time to find something else. It was really stressful and didn’t need to be like that.

Excellent Trip

This trip was excellent, exactly what we wanted and more. The guide was exceptional, he had a great amount of knowledge and made it fun for my children too. We had as much time as we wanted and he was so attentive to our needs. Nothing was too much trouble. Definitely worth it and the best trip we took all holiday. On time, comfortable, interesting and fun. Thank you!

Response from the operator: Thank you for choosing us, and for your kind words. We hope to see you again soon!

Worth it! Enjoy a passionate tour guide, stunning Cenote, climb ruins, and more!

Our family of 6 (ages 70+ to 10 years old) had a great day trip. Jose Manuel Palafox was an excellent tour guide. We learned about native animals, plants, history, Mayan culture, Mayan paintings, environmental impacts, and more. He shared images from museums, books, and personal photos to explain and storytell about what we were visiting. The cenote was absolutely stunning, a moving experience and was my favorite part of the excursion. Ek Balam allowed you to climb many of the structures and see the amazing jungle view. Only about 1% of the ruins is remaining, but still worth seeing. Lunch buffet had many options and local flare. The quick stop at the city center on the way back was a fun way to eat a snack at street vendors and see shops. Be prepared to walk up and down many stairs and go on some easy hikes to view all that there is to see. Would recommend taking a tour with Jose Manuel in the future! You could tell that he has a true passion for sharing the history and culture of the area, his heart truly sung as we all learned so much from him. His gentle and friendly mannerisms and ability to keep us on time without feeling rushed were welcome. Truly worth your time to take the private tour.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your kind words, and for taking the time for such a lovely review! We love our culture and our job, and we feel great when is recognized like this! We hope to see you soon again!

Fantastic experience!

We had a great day with Jose and Alejandro. They were very informative and kind and truly had a vested interest in the quality of our experience. Ek Balam is not as well known as many of the ruins but Jose enriched our experience with his educational stories and kind manner. The cenote we visited was gorgeous and the food at the buffet was some of the best we have had on our entire vacation. There were four of us on this tour and to have one guide to personally show us around was awesome. We much prefer smaller groups so if you can book with Jose, you should. It was exactly what we wanted and we made new friends as well.

Response from the operator: Hello, it is very hearth warming to know that our work is appreciated, and of course here you have a friend, see you soon amigo!

Is Ek Balam, Hubiku Cenote and Valladolid all Inclusive Tour from Riviera Maya worth it?

+

That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Playa del Carmen, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Ek Balam, Hubiku Cenote and Valladolid all Inclusive Tour from Riviera Maya?

+

How far in advance should I book Ek Balam, Hubiku Cenote and Valladolid all Inclusive Tour from Riviera Maya?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Playa del Carmen can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Playa del Carmen and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Playa del Carmen?

+

On Outty we rank every Playa del Carmen experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include VIP Chichen Itza Private Tour, VIP Tulum Private Tour, Chichen Itza Private Tour VIP. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Playa del Carmen?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Playa del Carmen?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
