What you get

    About this experience

Hop on a boat and get ready to explore the beautiful Caribbean Sea! We'll take you to Palancar, El Cielo, and El Cielito, where you can snorkel, admire the starfish, and swim next to stingrays. You would see some colorful fish, and maybe even spot a sea turtle if you're lucky. After the swim, kick back with some fresh ceviche, margaritas, sodas, and a mix of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks—all while enjoying the views. Heads up: Bring a long-sleeve shirt, hat/cap, and sunglasses instead of sunscreen—sunblock isn’t reef-friendly and we want to keep this place beautiful! But the sun burns!

Great snorkeling tour. Easy walk from the cruise port. 3 reefs, amazing marine life, great photo package. Pick this one!

This was one of the highlights of our cruise! Everything was well organized from start to finish. The departure point was conveniently located near the cruise port, and the crew kept a close eye on the time so we returned with plenty of time to reboard the ship. We visited three different reefs plus a sandbar, giving us the chance to see an incredible variety of fish and other marine life. The snorkeling was excellent, and we never felt rushed. The optional photo package was absolutely worth it—the photos were beautiful and made for great memories. I would definitely book this tour again.

    It needs improvement.

The locations are amazing no doubt.. however the boat is small.. the food is a tray with some ceviche and half a pineapple cut off in pieces and one other fruit.. but is a share tray floating on the ocean getting soak with water, you don’t get a plate.. you eat from same tray.. The drinks are beer, off brand cola and water.. no margaritas or tequila that they advertise also they rush and only give 15 minutes on the first 2 places and keep you like 2 1/2 hours on the last one, to the point it got boring. I would definitely not recommend this tour.. there are better options.

    My family (husband 2 kids...

My family (husband 2 kids 6 and 8, and grandpa) all had to opportunity to go snorkeling in this excursion. It was a dream! They waited for us because we got off the ship and through crowds later than that we thought. However this did not take away from our trip! We got to snorkel 3 locations with the last one being El Cieloito where we were several finger food and beverages. Oue guides took pictures and we were able to purchase them separately from the package. My kids had a great experience, guides were friendly and knowledgeable and did their best to talk in English and Spanish. They had safety measures in place for people who could not swim well because at times water was somewhat rough. I would recommend this tour to anyone who is looking for an experince.

I'm an avid traveler, hands down one of the best excursions I've ever been on!!

This excursion was the best! Took my niece and daughter and were so amazed at the level of professionalism and comfortability of the team. The caption, Joaquim and Chito were the best host! : ) I was a bit nervous snorkeling but they comforted me with patience and ease and I'm so appreciative because I took the best pics everrrrr. We got to El Cielo and I thought it couldn't get anymore amazing!! They made fresh shrimp cerviche, guac and fruits!! Chef's Kiss!! Special shoutout to Joaquim and Chito who helped me get through the initial nervousness...gracias!! Tip these guys!!!! They deserve every penny!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words! We're thrilled to hear that you, your niece, and daughter had such a memorable experience. Joaquin and Chito will be very happy to know they made your snorkeling adventure comfortable and enjoyable. We hope to welcome you continue enjoying Mexico and hope to see you soon 😊

Cozumel: Snorkeling to El Cielo & Cielito with drinks & Snack: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cozumel.

How much does Cozumel: Snorkeling to El Cielo & Cielito with drinks & Snack cost?

    +

Prices start at $66 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cozumel usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Cozumel: Snorkeling to El Cielo & Cielito with drinks & Snack take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cozumel is not rushed.

Is Cozumel: Snorkeling to El Cielo & Cielito with drinks & Snack worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 18 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cozumel, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Cozumel: Snorkeling to El Cielo & Cielito with drinks & Snack?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Cozumel: Snorkeling to El Cielo & Cielito with drinks & Snack suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Cozumel: Snorkeling to El Cielo & Cielito with drinks & Snack?

    +

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cozumel can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cozumel and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Cozumel: Snorkeling to El Cielo & Cielito with drinks & Snack start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cozumel within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cozumel?

    +

On Outty we rank every Cozumel experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Jade Caverns and Mayan Village Cozumel ATV TOUR, Buggy, Beach & Snorkel Blast, ATV 4×4+Cenote+Snorkeling+Beach Club+ Lunch+Sabores de Cozumel. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cozumel?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cozumel?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
