    Torture

Henry, the guide at the temple was the only redeeming thing about this trip. Everything else was a big sales pitch to try and get you to buy things

Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed Henry, your temple guide. Regarding the additional items and souvenirs offered during the tour, these are entirely optional and no guest is obligated to make any purchases. Our staff simply presents these opportunities for those who may be interested, but it is always acceptable to decline. We appreciate your comments and will continue working to ensure all guests have a positive experience while respecting their personal choices.

    Tour Guides Were Great

Not quite as advertised and probably the same as half the others. This particular ad didn’t have an itinerary but said start at 8:30 and pays for everything. (It didn’t include drinks, but that was okay. Also the tax and fees that others don’t cover is only for go pros and video camera, not cellphone cameras, etc.) They called before hand asking us to be ready in the lobby by 7:10. We were there by 7. The van didn’t show up until like 7:45. When they did, it was not the company they advertised as. They had my name spelled wrong (including adding a T to the end of my last name) and the wrong confirmation number. I stood there for like 5 mins while they called to verify that it was me. (I have a unique name and was the only one at the hotel with that name at that time, standing in the right spot.) Finally we got on the bus and were taking to a waiting spot, where we waited for another bus. Overall that took about 2 hrs up to that point. After that it got really good. The tour guide Gonzalez was hilarious and very entertaining. He made it extremely enjoyable. We loved the Shaman experience and the Cenote. Walking around Chichen Itza was surreal. Our guide Gonzalez gave us information about the Mayans that you wouldn’t find in a history, which I found deeply interesting. It was a very long day. We didn’t get back to our hotel until after 9. I would recommend, but just be aware of what you’re getting into. I don’t think this particular trip experience is much different from the others, besides going through a 3rd, 3rd Party. ;)

Response from the operator: we are sorry for the problem you had, its our priority to make this tour enjoyable. hope we coud see you again!

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cancun.

How much does Chichen Itza Plus with Chichikanfrom Cancun and Playa del Carmen cost?

    +

Prices start at $55 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cancun usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Chichen Itza Plus with Chichikanfrom Cancun and Playa del Carmen take?

    +

Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cancun is not rushed.

Is Chichen Itza Plus with Chichikanfrom Cancun and Playa del Carmen worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 51 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cancun, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Chichen Itza Plus with Chichikanfrom Cancun and Playa del Carmen?

Is Chichen Itza Plus with Chichikanfrom Cancun and Playa del Carmen suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Chichen Itza Plus with Chichikanfrom Cancun and Playa del Carmen?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cancun can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cancun and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Chichen Itza Plus with Chichikanfrom Cancun and Playa del Carmen start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cancun within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cancun?

    +

On Outty we rank every Cancun experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Early Access to Chichen Itza All Inclusive with Valladolid and Cenote Swim, Whale Shark Tour from Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Riviera Maya, Small-Group 3 Hidden Cenotes Adventure with Tequila Tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cancun?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cancun?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
