Use Xaman-Ha for your Chichen Itza Tour!

My family had a wonderful experience with Xaman-Ha Connections on our tour to Chichen Itza and Cenote Saamal! I asked to make a change to the date of our tour prior to arriving in Cancun. The staff were polite, helpful & accommodating! Our guide, Sabino, made us feel safe & well cared for the entire time. He was knowledgeable and shared many interesting facts with us. The swim at the cenote was the highlight of our entire trip! It was really a welcomed end to our day that cooled us off and delighted the kids! We booked the Small Group Tour but it ended up a private tour that day as we were the only family. We were able to leave early, drive in a small 12 person van & beat all the large bus tours before the big groups crowded the sites. We were back in time for dinner & an evening swim at the pool.

An unforgettable experience in Chichen Itza

An unforgettable experience from start to finish! We had an amazing tour with XamanHa Connections. We would especially like to thank Aranza for her outstanding support and kindness throughout the booking process. She made everything easy and hassle-free. Fernando was our fantastic guide throughout the entire day. He shared the history in such an engaging and professional way, besides he was an excellent driver. The small group size made the experience feel very personalized and comfortable. The visit to Chichén Itzá, the swim in the cenote, and the lunch were all perfectly organized. The traditional Mexican lunch was absolutely delicious and was the perfect complement to an already amazing experience It was truly a wonderful experience, and we highly recommend XamanHa Connections!

    Tapia is tops!!

Tapia was AMAZING!! He was great fun and knew so much about the area. We spent time privately in one of the cenotes and he took photos and videos the whole time which was so helpful. He handed us off to Manny (Tortas!!) at Akumal Bay for our swim with the turtles which is highly recommended. We could not be happier!!

Chichen Itza Private Tour from Cancun and Riviera Maya: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cancun.

How much does Chichen Itza Private Tour from Cancun and Riviera Maya cost?

    +

Prices start at $287 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cancun usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Chichen Itza Private Tour from Cancun and Riviera Maya take?

    +

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cancun is not rushed.

Is Chichen Itza Private Tour from Cancun and Riviera Maya worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 78 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 188 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cancun, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Chichen Itza Private Tour from Cancun and Riviera Maya?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Chichen Itza Private Tour from Cancun and Riviera Maya suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Chichen Itza Private Tour from Cancun and Riviera Maya?

    +

Around 66 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cancun can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cancun and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Chichen Itza Private Tour from Cancun and Riviera Maya start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cancun within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cancun?

    +

On Outty we rank every Cancun experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Early Access to Chichen Itza All Inclusive with Valladolid and Cenote Swim, Whale Shark Tour from Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Riviera Maya, Small-Group 3 Hidden Cenotes Adventure with Tequila Tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cancun?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cancun?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
