Great communication.
Absolutely fantastic service. WhatsApp communication beforehand meant I was able to contact the service when my flight was delayed and then I couldn’t find the pick up spot. They helped me find it and waited an extra five minutes for me as the next one was full. Would recommend!

Airport Shuttle to Chiquila
The shuttle pickup was very convenient as it was close to the airport exit. Our driver had a sign that was easily identified.

Learn from our challenges
We thought we were very prepared for this shuttle experience after reading through all the guides and notes from the company but we had a very challenging time. We arrived at terminal 3 and knew we needed to go to terminal 2, but there were no instructions on where to catch the free shuttle between terminals. After lots of haggling, asking for help, and wandering around we found the shuttle and made it to terminal 2 about fifteen minutes before our scheduled departure time-no big deal. We tried to locate the welcome bar which would have been a success if it hadn’t been completely under renovation and essentially not there. We didn’t get any messages and there is no free WiFi at the airport that we could use, so again, asked strangers at the airport where we should go, and if we could use their phone to try and make a call to the shuttle operator. As our departure time came and went with no Sign of the van or driver we became increasingly anxious. When we found someone who would let us use their phone, the first person we spoke to hung up on us while we were on hold, maybe a mistake? The second time we called, after switching to our own phone but incurring international charges, they said we were booked for the wrong day- which doesn’t make sense because all of the tickets and confirmations had the correct day and time. Finally the woman we spoke to said someone was on their way to get us and would be there in five minutes. I insisted she stay on the phone with us u til we found the driver. When we found the driver, he did have a sign with our name on it, but it was nearly 30 Minutes after our departure time- he was just late to arrive. Note that the tour operator had emailed us the day of our pick up, while we were on our international flight with no WiFi, with an update saying the welcome bar was under construction (but not indicating if their location had changed or if there would be a delay). Thankfully I was able to make these international calls after failing to use strangers phones (thank you to those kind folks who helped us). Otherwise we would have never found the driver, maybe never picked up, and definitely had a worse time than we already did. Learn from our mistake- ask ahead of time where to get the terminal 2 free bus, ask the shuttle company ahead of time exactly where to meet and confirm the day and time (I thought we wouldn’t need to do this given the details provided at booking…. But here we are). We will not be using this service again, but can understand how maybe some of this was an oversight on our end.

Why this scores 61
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Cancun Airport Shared Shuttle to Holbox Chiquila Port: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cancun.
How much does Cancun Airport Shared Shuttle to Holbox Chiquila Port cost?
+
Prices start at $29 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cancun usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Cancun Airport Shared Shuttle to Holbox Chiquila Port take?
+
Plan for about 0 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cancun is not rushed.
Is Cancun Airport Shared Shuttle to Holbox Chiquila Port worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 191 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cancun, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Cancun Airport Shared Shuttle to Holbox Chiquila Port?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Cancun Airport Shared Shuttle to Holbox Chiquila Port suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 0-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Cancun Airport Shared Shuttle to Holbox Chiquila Port?
+
Around 67 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cancun can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cancun and add a light layer if any part of the 0-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Cancun Airport Shared Shuttle to Holbox Chiquila Port start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cancun within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cancun?
+
On Outty we rank every Cancun experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Early Access to Chichen Itza All Inclusive with Valladolid and Cenote Swim, Whale Shark Tour from Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Riviera Maya, Small-Group 3 Hidden Cenotes Adventure with Tequila Tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cancun?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cancun?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
