A flawless Swiss experience!
There's traveling in Switzerland, and then there's traveling in Switzerland with Marc! I was lucky enough to book a day-hike with Marc and the MySwissPanaroma team and it was an unforgettable experience. Marc was very communicative prior to the trip and I was able to work with him to find the perfect hike. I had just recovered from an illness so I didn't want anything *too* stressful, and he was able to find a hike that provided stunning and scenic views, while still being just the right amount of adventure. The day of the hike, Marc arrived early and we were able to get a head-start on the day, using the extra time to stop for a pastry and coffee that we we able to enjoy by a lake that just happened to be on our way. As we drove towards our hiking destination, Marc was a wealth of information about Switzerland. From local history to other things we should do with our time in Switzerland after the hike, the conversation made the car ride go quickly. Once we arrived, Marc was well prepared with bottled waters and we started out on our hike! We were immediately met with scenic views and exactly the kind of hike through the mountains of Switzerland that you’d imagine. Alpine heights, bucolic settings, and absolute peace – all while taking stops for water, photos, or the occasional snack. Marc traveled at our pace and gave us more information about the surrounding area, Switzerland in general, and nearly anything else that came into my head while hiking. We finished the hike just as it was starting to get warm, and Marc prepared a fresh lunch for us right on the side of an alpine stream that marked our finish line. Fresh bread, meats, fruits, and of course raclette cheese tasted amazing, probably because we were hungry, but it also might have been because we were sitting and taking in what can only be described as a postcard view. Marc took care of prepping lunch and cleaning up – he made the experience effortless from start to finish. All told, I genuinely don’t know how you could have a better experience in Switzerland than with Marc and the team. Everything was planned perfectly, execution was flawless, and the experience was exactly what we had hoped for. I cannot wait to return to Switzerland again and I will most certainly be reaching back out to book another unforgettable experience with the MySwissPanaroma team. Thanks again Marc!

The best of the best
I've worked in experiential travel for 15 years and have traveled to over 45 countries-- Marc and Myswisspanorama are among the very best anywhere in the world. They are absolutely top tier in every aspect of your experience with them. From first contact to post-travel, Marc is communicative, friendly, insightful, and truly cares about your time in Switzerland. These guys do not offer off-the-shelf tours that you most commonly find, especially when booking independently without a travel advisor well-versed in the destination. Marc listens to what type of experience you are after and tailors every detail in order to make your time with them perfect. I compared several companies and ended up going with Marc even though they were slightly more expensive, and it ended up being worth every penny. Marc took us to some of the most beautiful, quiet, pristine, lovely towns you could imagine, gave us wonderful insight on the culture and history of Switzerland, took us on a stunning hike with not another visitor in sight, set up a great little picnic, and was just a pleasure to be around. All that to say that I would highly highly recommend that you trust them with your valuable time; you will be happy that you did.

A Outstanding Hike in Swiss Countryside
Our private hike with myswisspanorama was amazing! Marc was our guide and he was the perfect host. After picking us up at our hotel, he took us on a magical tour. On the way to our hike, Marc showed us small Swiss villages, told the story of William Tell, and took us to the most beautiful cemetery we have ever seen. The hike to the waterfall was off the beaten path, and we would have never found it by ourselves. The waterfall and the surrounding hillside felt as if we were in "The Sound of Music" - it was truly that beautiful. Along the hike, Marc showed us white garlic growing wild in the fields, and explained local farming customs thereby demonstrating his environmental expertise. Marc provided a picnic lunch was that delicious and reinforced Marc's philosophy of custom tours. My son-in-law is allergic to gluten, and Marc went out of his way to bring gluten-free bread to the picnic so that my son-in-law could enjoy his meal. The highlight of the picnic was a Swiss grilled cheese and fresh fruit and drinks. Marc found a picnic spot in a small village, next to a river walk, with wonderful views everywhere. After lunch, Marc took us to another waterfall where he surprised us with homemade brownies (delicious, by the way). We walked behind the waterfall where Marc took our family picture - which due to the lighting - came out as a silhouette! A seriously gorgeous photo. Not to be outdone, Marc took us to a chocolate outlet where we sampled mouthwatering chocolate before we headed home. We rated Marc as 5 of 5, but would have given him a higher rating if possible. Marc's attention to detail, flexibility, love of nature, and outgoing personality contributed to a wonderful day. I would HIGHLY recommend this tour because it will be the highlight of your visit.

A Truly Magical Experience
My fiancé booked this trip for us while we were in Paris on our honeymoon at the last minute, not knowing whether or not the weather would be conducive for the hikes we saw from pictures online. We only had a couple of days in Switzerland, so we emailed Marc and he was so communicative and honest with his feedback in terms of what the weather would be like, what to expect, what to wear/pack. We were super excited but also a little nervous because we didn’t know what the dynamic would be like since we would be spending the whole day with him. When the morning of the hike came, Marc met us in our hotel lobby with a huge and warm grin on his face. We immediately felt at ease because he just had a genuinely good energy and nature about him. He was so knowledgeable and taught us so many things. He was patient, thoughtful, kind, and gracious. We honestly felt like we were hiking with one of our good friends. Knowing that this was part of our honeymoon trip, he planned several surprises throughout the day to make our hike extra special. He prepared a charcuterie board for us when we made it to a waterfall, prepared a traditional raclette for us (complete with fresh fruit, prosciutto, and champagne) while we sat on a picnic bench and shared the view of a beautiful lake with friendly swans, and when we made it to the top of a snow-covered magical town, he presented us with a beautiful Swiss chocolate mousse that his incredibly kind girlfriend whipped up for us the night before. To say that our hike was magical would be an understatement. There are no words to describe how thankful we are to Marc for creating such beautiful memories for us. We already plan to book more hikes with our new friend for many years to come!

Most magical private hike in snowy Swiss Alps!
Our private hike with myswisspanorama was one of the most magical days we have ever experienced! Marc and his team were very accommodating to our personal preferances for the private tour and also offered a personal pick-up in Zurich. He drove us into the Swiss Alps, giving lots of interesting insider tips and historical facts about the villages we passed and viewpoints stoped at on the way. The mountains were full with snow offering stunning views during our private hike. The trail we hiked felt very secluded with beautiful nature and stunning views. Marc even organised an intimate picnic with Swiss food for us. I highly recommend booking with myswisspanorma to get a personalised private tour. We could not have experienced Switzerland in a better way. It was an unforgettable day!

Why this scores 73
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Breathtaking Private Hike with a Local Swiss Expert (1 day trip): questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Zurich.
How much does Breathtaking Private Hike with a Local Swiss Expert (1 day trip) cost?
+
Prices start at $399 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Zurich usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Breathtaking Private Hike with a Local Swiss Expert (1 day trip) take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Zurich is not rushed.
Is Breathtaking Private Hike with a Local Swiss Expert (1 day trip) worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 29 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Zurich, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Breathtaking Private Hike with a Local Swiss Expert (1 day trip)?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Breathtaking Private Hike with a Local Swiss Expert (1 day trip) suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Breathtaking Private Hike with a Local Swiss Expert (1 day trip)?
+
Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Zurich can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Zurich and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Breathtaking Private Hike with a Local Swiss Expert (1 day trip) start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Zurich within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Zurich?
+
On Outty we rank every Zurich experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Zurich Food Tour with 10 Local Delicacies, Cheeses & Chocolates, Private, excellent guided tour of Zurich (from CHF 21/pers.), Zürich Historic District Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Zurich?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Zurich?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
