    Great boat ride

Great company for the boat ride to and from Peniche to Berlengas. We did the boat + snorkel option and had an amazing time!

    Not as advertised

This was not a 'Catamaran tour around the island'. This was a 50 minute catamaran boat ride to the Berlengas island. Snorkelling gear was provided on the catamaran as stated. No maps or tour guide to help us navigate. We were dropped off and then picked up. This is not as advertised.

Response from the operator: Hello, good afternoon. We apologize for not meeting your expectations. What we announced is: "Upon arrival on the island, you will hike the trails, visit the São João Batista Fortress, and snorkel. The client is free to explore the island and do the snorkeling activity." I don't think we missed anything. Could you be confusing us with another provider? Thank you very much.

Lack of competition = poor professionalism

Last August I, my husband and father stayed on land... It was agreed the Reservation for three Pax's by phone with a member of the team "Odisseia Viva" that we would pay on the day of the tour, because we could not pay through the application. We presented ourselves a little before the scheduled time and in an insensitive way (after explaining the situation), the manager of the boat said that it had exhausted and we could not board, ignoring what led us there. In my opinion the manager was very unprofessional in the way he led our situation... Interestingly, after the boat left the harbour, two minutes later returned to collect more passengers.... It would be our second time on this trip. So it was the last time we chose "Odisseia Viva" for Sunset tour, hoping to find another boat that has good professionalism as a priority in the face of an isolated situation over the customer and we can enjoy a Sunset party because it is three very pleasant hours that are seen by the sun alone over Peniche. Guaranteed the lack of competition CIA "offers" this kind of but attitudes.

    Brutal

The tour costs 29,90 euros, duration 4h. I recommend doing it in the afternoon because you have the opportunity to appreciate the beautiful sunset. (Depending on the time of year of course) Economic fun, pleasant and fun

    Thanks for the brilliant memories.

Probably one of the most genuine and honest bunch of people I've ever met. Thanks for the brilliant memories.

Response from the operator: Thanks for the awesome review, David! We work hard to meet expectations like yours, and we’re happy to hear we hit the mark for you. Come back and see us soon. Cheers!

Berlengas Island Catamaran Tour + Snorkeling: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.

How much does Berlengas Island Catamaran Tour + Snorkeling cost?

    +

Prices start at $40 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Berlengas Island Catamaran Tour + Snorkeling take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.

Is Berlengas Island Catamaran Tour + Snorkeling worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 51 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.9/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable nightlife in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Berlengas Island Catamaran Tour + Snorkeling?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Berlengas Island Catamaran Tour + Snorkeling suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Berlengas Island Catamaran Tour + Snorkeling?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Berlengas Island Catamaran Tour + Snorkeling start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Lisbon?

    +

On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Lisbon?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Lisbon?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
