Great ATV Excursion!
We had a great time! We opted for the ATVs and enjoyed it. The trail was fun and Luis and David, our guides were fantastic. They gave us excellent instruction and were very friendly. Loved this as my family isn’t big on water sports or heights! Having an ATV only option (rather than combined with snorkeling, jet skis or ziplining) ensured we could do a fun outing while we were her. Maroma Beach was nice as well. Very clean and very little seaweed. I wish I had known more about that in advance and I would’ve purchased a cabana and stayed the whole day. Would definitely recommend!

Ruined our day
This was honestly such a letdown. We booked a full day of excursions well in advance and were genuinely excited for it — it was one of the things I was most looking forward to on this trip. Then, with zero warning, they canceled on us. No call, no email, no heads-up at all. When we tried to contact them, instead of owning the mistake, we got random excuses that didn’t make sense. What made it even worse was being offered only 1–2 hours at the beach while still being charged the full price of an entire day, even though they were the ones who canceled. Because of this, our plans completely fell apart and we had to scramble last minute to figure something else out. What should have been a relaxing, fun day turned into stress, disappointment, and frustration. I was really excited for this experience and it honestly put such a damper on our day. If you’re thinking of booking here, just know that plans can be canceled without warning and you might be left dealing with the fallout. Would not recommend.

Reservation Canceled Without Notice on Christmas Eve
I don’t often write negative reviews. I prefer supporting local businesses and usually accept that occasional issues are part of travel. Unfortunately, our experience with Maroma Beach Club crossed the line of what I consider reasonable. My family had this excursion booked months in advance for Christmas Eve, a day that was very important to us. Our reservation was fully confirmed. On the day of the excursion, we waited in our resort lobby for pickup — and no one arrived. When we called, we were told the reservation had been canceled without any notice, allegedly due to “conditions,” even though the weather was nearly perfect with only light wind. After about an hour of calm discussion, they agreed to pick us up an hour later, but only if we paid an additional $120 and gave up our two jet ski reservations. We accepted, as it was better than losing the day completely. Thirty minutes later, we were informed that pickup would be delayed another three hours and that they would instead double our charge for a half-day excursion. Paying twice for a quarter of the experience made little sense, but at that point we had no practical alternatives. They would not offer any refund or meaningful accommodation, stating they were “fully booked,” despite the fact that our reservation had been made months earlier and had been canceled without notice. In our experience, most businesses in Mexico are extremely friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, this was not one of them. If reliability and peace of mind matter to you when booking an excursion, I would strongly recommend considering other options. Perhaps this was just bad luck. But this could happen to you where I’m sure it wouldn’t happen with other companies. Good luck out there my fellow free market warriors. God bless America and God save the queen

Bad experience no communication
Extremely disappointing experience and a complete failure in communication. We booked two jet ski sessions as a special Christmas Eve surprise for our family — ten kids who were incredibly excited. We paid nearly $5,000 to ensure everything was set up for a memorable day. When we went to the designated pickup spot at our resort, no one showed up. No message, no update, nothing. After being on hold forever, we were finally told our reservation had been canceled due to weather conditions — yet they never contacted us beforehand. Not a single call, text, or email. Trying to salvage the day, we asked if we could at least go to the beach without the jet skis. They agreed at first, but then later sent a WhatsApp message saying they couldn’t pick us up until much later — essentially turning it into a half‑day experience while still charging full price. Completely unacceptable. What should have been a joyful Christmas Eve for our family was ruined because of their lack of organization, zero communication, and unwillingness to offer a reasonable solution. For the price we paid, we expected professionalism and reliability. Instead, we got the opposite. I cannot recommend this company based on our experience.

ATV or Speed Boat or Wave Runner with Beach Club In Riviera Maya: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Playa del Carmen.
How much does ATV or Speed Boat or Wave Runner with Beach Club In Riviera Maya cost?
+
Prices start at $85 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Playa del Carmen usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does ATV or Speed Boat or Wave Runner with Beach Club In Riviera Maya take?
+
Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Playa del Carmen is not rushed.
Is ATV or Speed Boat or Wave Runner with Beach Club In Riviera Maya worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 81 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 317 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Playa del Carmen, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule ATV or Speed Boat or Wave Runner with Beach Club In Riviera Maya?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is ATV or Speed Boat or Wave Runner with Beach Club In Riviera Maya suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 6. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 2.5-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book ATV or Speed Boat or Wave Runner with Beach Club In Riviera Maya?
+
Around 111 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Playa del Carmen can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Playa del Carmen and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does ATV or Speed Boat or Wave Runner with Beach Club In Riviera Maya start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Playa del Carmen within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Playa del Carmen?
+
On Outty we rank every Playa del Carmen experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Chichen Itza from Cancun : Cenote, Valladolid and Mayan Cuisine, Ride to a life changing cenotes tour, From Playa del Carmen ATV Adventure with Ziplines, Cenote. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Playa del Carmen?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Playa del Carmen?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
