ACT, LANGTANG, MERA PEAK, MCT, TSUM
My wife and me(Kevin) are from Taiwan, and we knew Saroj in Apr 2024, upon ACT trip with Ice Lake and Tillicho Lake. Saroj was serving as a porter, yet he shared the responsibilities of a trekking guide as well, such as leading and taking care of my wife through the treacherous sections in Tillicho area, and the route to Thorong la Pass, looking after our meal preferences and lodging in tea houses, etc. Because we found it very easy to speak in English with him and we liked his guineness, we decided to extend our stay and asked him to be our guide for Langtang valley. A great decision, Saroj went for extra miles and took us to more scenic spots in this trip. Actually we went to Kyanjin Ri low 4400m and Kyanjin Ri high 4700m in 1 day. And after one day rest, again we summited Tserko Ri 4985m to enjoy the 360 degree panaramic view. We enjoyed our time with Saroj and became very good friends. In Oct 2024, I decided to tackle Mera Peak. It was new for both Saroj and me and we studied together quite some info about high-altitude mountaineering, contingency plan in case of rescue, equipment, etc. Saroj, as a solo trekking guide, grasped the picture quickly and knew where to find resources including the most important, Sherpa climbing guide, to make the trip happen. The trip took off on Sep.17 and when we reached Khare, we encountered a heavy blizzard lasting for a couple days and all climbers needed to wait for a long time for the best window to summit. Being the first timer for my 6000m+, I got anxious and ornery while I was waiting, yet Saroj always could calm me down with his patience and considerateness, truly a young man with such a maturity. During the summit process, Saroj went for extra miles again, he accompanied me not only to base camp, but also helping Sherpas blaze the trail. He was also the only trekking guide, who walked to and stayed with me at Mera high camp at 5900m. With Saroj's helps, I was able to enjoy my summit victory at 6476m Mera Peak. Last year in Apr 2025, my wife and me went to Nepal again for Tsum Valley and Manaslu circuit trek. I had 2 very special requests. First was about the Himalayan marmots, my favorite animal. We found from a villager that marmots inhabited in a place called Kaloon, and Saroj went for further investigation and figured the exact spot where marmots were, we hiked from additional 4.5km after Mu Gumpa and there I saw my first marmots. Moreover, in Manaslu circuit, Saroj arranged us to stay in Larke Bazzar, a tea house surrounded by tons of marmots, of course we were super delighted and took a lot of great photos of adorable marmots. Second was about my personal request for horse riding, for my wife to save her energy. It was not easy to find a good horse and a horse owner, to carry my wife through difficult sections in Manaslu, and Saroj made in happen, we really appreciate how resourceful Saroj has been for us. It will always very be fortunate, for rtekkers to get together with Saroj. He always goes for extra miles for trekking services, and possesses right attitude for work with problem solving skills. And we love his sincerity and genuineness.

Annapurna Circuit Trek with Tilicho lake 17 Days: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.
How much does Annapurna Circuit Trek with Tilicho lake 17 Days cost?
+
Prices start at $1100 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Annapurna Circuit Trek with Tilicho lake 17 Days take?
+
Plan for about 384 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.
Is Annapurna Circuit Trek with Tilicho lake 17 Days worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Annapurna Circuit Trek with Tilicho lake 17 Days?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Annapurna Circuit Trek with Tilicho lake 17 Days suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 384-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Annapurna Circuit Trek with Tilicho lake 17 Days?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 384-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Annapurna Circuit Trek with Tilicho lake 17 Days start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?
+
On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour | UNESCO World Heritage sites, Manaslu Circuit Trek, Classic Everest Base Camp Trek. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kathmandu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
