6 Day Annapurna Base Camp Trek - Amazing!
Our base camp trek with Nanda and Rajan was absolutely wonderful! They were so kind and accommodating to our pace and needs throughout the trek. Nanda helped ensure all of our meals came out on time, that we were comfortable in the tea houses and our room, and always walked us through our upcoming days to ensure it was okay with us. He gave us many breaks throughout the day, time to take photos, and was very patient, but also kept us on track. He was very knowledgeable about the mountains and the weather, making sure we never got caught in the rain or arrived too late in the evening, when it would be cold. Our porter Rajan was very kind, always making sure neither of us fell too far behind the group. While, this trek could have been done without a guide, it made the experience 100% better, Nanda always ensured we had a nice place to stay (many trekkers got turned away as tea houses filled up), our meals always came our first, he shared his knowledge about the mountains, history, and life in Nepal in general. Additionally, he ensured we properly acclimatized and did not ascend too quickly to avoid altitude sickness, this made a huge difference as we did not get sick. This was a wonderful experience for our first trek in Nepal and we would highly recommend!

Tired, but achieving!
Adventure Great Himalaya Treks & Expedition was good before and now! My wife highly recommended them, she was their customer 15 years ago! Food and accommodations was standard, nothing much to complain 😅 Mr. Nanda was my guide, he was patience with someone that have zero workout before the hike like me! Thank you Mr. Nanda! Mr. Remes was my porter, he is a humble man! Fully respect for his service! Overall experience with AGHT&E and the hike was amazing!

Exceptional 9-Day ABC Trek with a 5-star guide
We just finished an incredible 9-day ABC trek, and I highly recommend our guide, Naran. Naran’s expertise and professionalism saved our trip. He handled every challenge we faced with care. With Naran, we don’t have to worry about safety or anything —we just focus on the walk. He is deeply knowledgeable about the mountain and made the whole experience seamless and fun.

Awesome experience in nepal trekking
7 day 6 night trek to ABC. I am a solo traveller my group only me. But is also suitable for solo traveller. The nice sky and the mountain was so amazing and stunning. Book a trip with this tour and it's amazing. Everything is smooth with guide janak. Nice and friendly guy also took care of me on the trip as its quite tough for me. Also explained the difference mountain and trek making the trip more fun. I managed to summit to the base camp with his help. Everything was smooth with him around. Great job. If you look to explore the nepal mountain consider this tour and guide janak.

Why this scores 69
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Annapurna Base Camp Trek: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.
How much does Annapurna Base Camp Trek cost?
+
Prices start at $1200 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Annapurna Base Camp Trek take?
+
Plan for about 312 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.
Is Annapurna Base Camp Trek worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Annapurna Base Camp Trek?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Annapurna Base Camp Trek suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 312-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Annapurna Base Camp Trek?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 312-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Annapurna Base Camp Trek start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?
+
On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour | UNESCO World Heritage sites, Classic Everest Base Camp Trek, Manaslu Circuit Trek. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kathmandu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
