    Amazing ABC trekking

Thank you trekking guide Birendra. I successfully trek to ABC. This is my third time to go trekking in Nepal and same I choose mission Himalayan treks company. I have long term anemia. I worried a lot my health condition whether it is suitable to trek to high altitude or not. Before trekking, I consulted my physician and she said ok,, no problem, and remember to walk slowly, and do not rapidly climb high altitude in short period of time. Because of my illness, I discuss with birendra, and he tailored made a unique trekking route to me to suit my special need. For normal person, they may need around 6 to 7 days to finish the classic ABC trekking route. After discussion with Birendra, he design a unique 10 days route to me, slowly rise from pokhara 822m to ABC 4130m, in order to avoid rapid rise. Birendra is a caring and responsible guide. Whenever i saw the endless upstairs, he always have his own ways to encourage me. Thank you all along.

    Good trip

Well planned trip. The tour guide is very experienced. Itinerary is flexible. Free choice of food and drinks during trekking. Travel from 30 April, almost rain every afternoon from around 2pm. Mostly good weather before noon.

    Lucky to have Birendra

Birendra did an amazing job arranging our ABC trek. We felt safe, well-informed and well-supported throughout. We so lucky to have him as our guide. Would definitely recommend him to friends.

You get the best of what you pay for

I have highly recommend this guide, not just because he walks his talks, but also listens genuinely to and is very nice to care about the needs of his clients. Though sometimes seems bit obnoxious to selected teammates, he always tries his best to satisfy the requests from us all, albeit the needs might vary from time to time.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.

How much does Annapurna Base Camp Trek cost?

    +

Prices start at $995 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Annapurna Base Camp Trek take?

    +

Plan for about 360 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.

Is Annapurna Base Camp Trek worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 52 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable outdoors in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Annapurna Base Camp Trek?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Annapurna Base Camp Trek suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 360-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Annapurna Base Camp Trek?

    +

Around 18 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 360-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Annapurna Base Camp Trek start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?

    +

On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour | UNESCO World Heritage sites, Classic Everest Base Camp Trek, Manaslu Circuit Trek. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kathmandu?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
