Annapurna Base Camp - Solo female traveller
I had an amazing experience with Alpine Luxury Tours. Booking was easy, itinerary suited my needs and length. They really focus on making your dream tour happen. My guide, Dhruba, was a lovely gentleman. Very knowledgeable, very tentative and accomodating to my wishes or needs. My porter, Baris, did his duty to an excellent standard and was also always happy to help with anything I needed. For a solo traveller, this trip was great. I was looked after from the day I arrived in Kathmandu and until I arrived back in Kathmandu. All round great experience, great team and amazing memories.
Response from the operator: Thank you for this beautiful reflection on your journey. Dhruba's twenty-plus years on the trails speak for themselves. But what you've captured—that genuine attentiveness, that willingness to pivot around your needs—that's the heart of who he is. Baris bringing that same energy to every step, every camp, every moment? That's our team operating exactly as we intend. Solo travel through the Himalayas requires a different kind of care. You're not just managing logistics. You're creating safety, confidence, and genuine companionship. From your arrival in Kathmandu through your departure, that's our responsibility. Knowing you felt looked after the whole way through—that's what we're here for. Your memories are ours too. Thank you for trusting us with this chapter of your story.

Guide & porter dream team
It had been 20 years since I last did a trek. My previous experience was hiking in Portugal, Switzerland, Thailand, Cambodia, Bolivia, Peru and the Inca trail. This time I wanted to set myself a physical challenge and climb to Annapurna base camp. By accident I found Alpine Luxury trekking on the internet. As a solo traveller the personalized service and the attention to detail were very important to me and Alpine Luxury trekking did deliver more than I could have hoped for. Nepal offers stunning nature but not without risks. Therefore, I wanted an experienced guide and porter. The fantastic guide and porter team of Gobinda and Keshavi were assigned to me. How lucky I was to have such extremely experienced, caring and genuinely nice people looking after me. Thank you so much. There is an idea for me to do the Langtang trek next year but I would only want to tackle it with the dream team of Gobinda and Keshavi as it gives that extra special demention which makes it a truly unique experience. We are delighted to hear that our personalized service and attention to detail made a difference for you as a solo traveler. Your appreciation for Gobinda and Keshav means a great deal to us—they are outstanding professionals, and we are proud to have them on our team. We would be happy to welcome you back for the Langtang trek next year and would love to create another special experience for you with the same team. Warm regards, Alpine Luxury Team

Great custom Annapurna trek
My partner and I planned a private, custom trek with Badri to see Poon Hill, Khopra Ridge, and Annapurna Base Camp. All communication leading up to the trek was fast and clear. Once there we met our guide Gobinda and porter Purna, both of whom were absolutely wonderful to spend 10 days with. I felt that our safety and preferences were taken into account and they were very flexible with plans when we hiked faster than expected in the itinerary. We learned lots about the local culture and landscape from them and their guidance enriched our trip. Plus they carried a surprise fruit desert for each night. Overall communication was clear and easy and I highly recommend Badri, Gobinda, and Purna for any trekking in Nepal!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words and for choosing Alpine Luxury Treks for your private trek. We’re very happy to hear that planning with Badri was smooth and that your time on the trail with Gobinda and Purna felt safe, flexible, and enriching. It was a pleasure arranging your journey to Poon Hill, Khopra Ridge, and Annapurna Base Camp, and we truly appreciate your recommendation. We hope to welcome you both back to Nepal again

An amazing 10 days in the Annapurna region with great people
Just finished up an amazing and unforgettable 10 day trip with Mr. Gobinda, our guide, and Mr. Purna, our porter. A friend recommended this company and I'm so glad we went with them! From the very beginning when we were planning the trip with Badri, to everyday of the trek, everyone made sure we were comfortable, trekking through beautiful places, eating well, drinking enough water, and staying safe and enjoying every minute. All of our requests were accommodated and they made sure we were able to visit everywhere that we wanted to go, along with some extra places they recommended: Poon Hill, Khopra Ridge, Muldai, and Annapurna Base Camp. I appreciated their expertise along the whole trek about the best routes and viewpoints. I also really appreciated the flexibility with our itinerary, as Gobinda and Purna were able to adjust quickly when needed during our trek. When we made it to a location earlier than expected or wanted to add on an additional side trek, all of that was accommodated to ensure a beautiful day of hiking everyday. They always took great care of us and made sure we had an incredible view of the mountains, and shared interesting information about the villages, history, culture, nature, and Nepal. 10 days goes by so fast when you're having a great time with great people. Thanks Gobinda, Purna, and Badri for a fantastic trip! Highly recommended for anyone planning a trip to Nepal!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this wonderful review and for trusting Alpine Luxury Treks with your 10-day adventure. We’re delighted to hear that Badri, in planning, and Gobinda and Purna on the trail, helped make your journey through Poon Hill, Khopra Ridge, Muldai, and Annapurna Base Camp so special, flexible, and safe. It was a pleasure hosting you in Nepal, and we truly appreciate your recommendation. We hope to welcome you back to the mountains again.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.
How much does Annapurna Base Camp Trek cost?
+
Prices start at $2,250 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Annapurna Base Camp Trek take?
+
Plan for about 360 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.
Is Annapurna Base Camp Trek worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable outdoors in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Annapurna Base Camp Trek?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Annapurna Base Camp Trek suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 360-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Annapurna Base Camp Trek?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 360-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Annapurna Base Camp Trek start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?
+
On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kathmandu Sightseeing | UNESCO World Heritage sites Private/Group, Manaslu Circuit Trek, Manaslu Circuit Trek: Private Group & Discounte Price. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kathmandu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
