About this experience

Our Annapurna Base Camp Short Trek begins after you arrive in Kathmandu and catch a 30-minute flight to the beautiful lake city of Pokhara the very next day. Annapurna circuit trek

My husband and I did the Annapurna circuit trek with this company. From the moment we met Aakash (whom we booked our trip with in Kathmandu), we had a really warm feeling. He planned our itinerary in detail. We met our guide T B the same day. Started our trip the following morning. Aakash kitted us with everything, no small detail was left out. Our guide T B was just amazing. Looked after us extremely well. He is very knowledgeable and experienced. Sunil, our porter, was incredible too. Without these guys our trip wouldn’t have been the same. To be perfectly honest, I wouldn’t have been able to complete it. I can spend a whole year writing amazing things about the trip. Shame we can only rate this trip 5*, personally we would like to give them 500 million stars. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. We would definitely use them again. Thank you for everything Aakash, T B and Sunil and of course the amazing Annapurna trek and the Himalayan mountains. What an experience, something to treasure all our lives.

Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Namaste from Nepal Mountain Trekkers! Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a beautiful review of your Annapurna trek experience with us. Reading your words truly means the world to our entire team. We are delighted to know that from your first meeting in Kathmandu, Aakash was able to make you feel warmly welcomed and well prepared. Planning every detail carefully is something we take great pride in, and it’s wonderful to hear that it made a difference to your journey. Your kind words about our guide TB and Sunil have been shared with them. They are genuinely passionate about what they do, and knowing they helped you complete the trek safely and confidently is the greatest reward for all of us. The Annapurna region is incredibly special, and experiencing it with the right team truly makes all the difference. “500 million stars” made us smile! 😊 Your recommendation and trust mean everything to us. Our motto is always Safety, Satisfaction, and Success, and we’re so happy we could deliver an experience that you’ll treasure for a lifetime. We would be absolutely honoured to welcome you back to Nepal for another Himalayan adventure in the future. Best regards, Nepal Mountain Trekkers

Beyond the Mountains: my amazing ABC trip

Firstly, we had to thank Nepal Mountain Trekkers, especially Shiva (our guide) and Bishal (our porter) for making our dream come true. We finally made it to Annapurna Base Camp. Suman greeted us warmly at the airport, setting the tone for our incredible journey. Shiva was our constant companion throughout the seven-day trek, ensuring our comfort, safety, and enjoyment. His extensive knowledge of the region was invaluable. He also suggested some quick actions and solutions when we had any problems, to make sure we were safe and comfortable. We very enjoy all the way to the base camp. The views are stunning, this is my first time looking at these snow-capped mountains in real life. After all, we learned a lot about Nepal's culture, and cuisine. We highly recommend this company and look forward to returning in the future. Thank you all.

Response from the operator: Dear Anh Tu Vo, Thank you for your fantastic review about your trekking experience with Nepal Mountain Trekkers. We are pleased to hear that you had an amazing experience on your Annapurna Base Camp trek with our team and it's wonderful to know that our guide Shiva and porter Bishal provided you with excellent support which made your journey both safe and enjoyable. We’re also glad that Suman’s warm welcome set the stage for your adventure. The views at the base camp truly are breathtaking, and it’s great to hear you enjoyed learning about Nepal’s culture and cuisine along the way. Your kind words and recommendation mean a lot to us, and we can’t wait to welcome you back for more unforgettable experiences in the future! Till then, take care, stay safe, and have a nice day! Shiva, best of all guides

We had a great experience with Shiva. He knew everyone at every Guest House, he gave us the best rooms in each of them, he explained everything we asked him about… If I go back, I would ask for him to be my guide 100%!

Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Namaste from Nepal Mountain Trekkers! We highly appreciate that you took time out of your busy schedule to write about your trekking experience with our team and the guide Shiva. Thank you for the amazing words about Shiva and the services. The NMT team will keep on improving further with even enhanced services and of course, the best crew for offering the best of our hospitality and services as we always do. And we look forward to welcoming you soon in Nepal for some other adventure very soon. Till then, take care, stay safe, and have a nice day! Best regards, Nepal Mountain Trekkers

Annapurna Base Camp Trek: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.

How much does Annapurna Base Camp Trek cost?

+

Prices start at $1212 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Annapurna Base Camp Trek take?

+

Plan for about 264 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.

Is Annapurna Base Camp Trek worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 15 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Annapurna Base Camp Trek?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Annapurna Base Camp Trek suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 15. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 264-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Annapurna Base Camp Trek?

+

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 264-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Annapurna Base Camp Trek start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?

+

On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour | UNESCO World Heritage sites, Manaslu Circuit Trek, Kathmandu Food and Drink Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kathmandu?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
