Trip of a lifetime! Great experience & excellent service
My boyfriend and I booked the trekking with Nepal trekking experts, we choose it for the good reviews. The first approach with the company have been with Rajesh, very professional, respectful and always ready to answer to our questions and provide us the help we needed. We spent 2 weeks trekking around the Annapurna circuit , Tilicho lake and Poon hill with the guide Rabin and the porter Mahesh. We visited beautiful places but being in their company made the difference! They were always smiling, bringing good energy even during the tuff moments of the trekking. They have been supportive and at the same time respectful of our privacy giving us the space we needed. We did some changes during the tour and the guide Robin has been really empathetic to understand our needs. They brought us always where it was safe with good food provided. We have been just after the flood and anyway we didn’t find any problems to end the planned trekking. Nepal is a beautiful country, don’t stop to visit it!! I totally recommend Nepal trekking experts ! Choosing them is absolutely worth it!

A Wonderful Trip with Truly Wonderful Guides
We traveled as a couple on the Annapurna Trek in January 2026 and were incredibly lucky to have Dinesh and Chhwang as our guides. We were absolutely impressed by both of them from the very beginning. Their incredible knowledge, experience, and above all their warm and friendly personalities made this trek such a special experience for us. At all times, we felt completely safe, well looked after, and truly welcome. The meetings with the agency owner before and after the trek were also wonderful. From the very beginning, we felt extremely well taken care of and genuinely appreciated as guests. The Annapurna Trek will stay in our memories for the rest of our lives – not only because of the breathtaking landscapes, but especially because of the people who made this journey so incredibly special. If we ever get the chance to return to Nepal, we will 100% book another tour with this agency. And we truly hope that Dinesh and Chhwang will be available to guide us again! ❤️🇳🇵 Thank you so much for this unforgettable experience! Philipp & Patricia

Annapurna Base Camp + Chitwan
Had an amazing time during my Annapurna Base Camp trek. My guide Sudarson was really helpful. Sadly we couldn’t make the whole trekking due to a landslide because of monsoon season. Thanks to Sudarson we found an alternative route to Mardi Himal Base Camp which was an amazing alternative. Raj has also been incredibly helpful behind the scenes with making a custom itinerary for me which also included a guide and stay in Chitwan National Park. Even after my trekking I could always ask more questions for my last few days in Kathmandu which I very much appreciated. Would recommend anyone who’s considering trekking in Nepal to use this agency because of their personal approach and always helpful attitude!

Incredible hiking experience
I did the Anapurna Curcuit in March 2026 and enjoyed the hike from beginning to end! At the company I was able to explain exactly what I imagined for my hike (expertise, level of fitness, adventure appetite, length, region…). The company made a personal itinerary just for me. I decided to go solo with my guide so that I could choose how fast I would like to go and to have the freedom to alternate the plan as I like. My guide was the nicest guy I could’ve imagined for this kind of experience. At first I was unsure if I wanted to travel alone as a young woman with a male stranger for two weeks. As soon as I had met my guide Ram all my worries disappeared. I immediately had a good feeling and felt like I could trust this company and Ram with my life. Unfortunately I got sick right before the day of my departure. In this situation tje company reacted very professionally and helpful and offered to postpone my trip until I was fully recovered. This is can not be taken for granted! Finally I could start the trip: The package I booked included arrival and departure, which we did by jeep and bus. Ram handled everything for me so that I did not have to worry about anything. During the hike Ram was always looking out for me and my wellbeing. He respected my space and was the best teacher of flora and fauna, the folks of the mountains, learning Nepali, hiking know hows and a lot of knowledge about Nepal history. The Anapurna Curcuit was my first big hike. I carried my backpack myself, which I find very doable if you’re young and healthy. This hike is very beautiful with lots of different climate zones, animals I didn’t know existed, friendly and welcoming people, the most astonishing views and great physical exercise. I was able to always sleep in a single room so that I had a lot of privacy. I would definitely do this again and I can recommend this hike and the Nepal Trekking Experts from the bottom of my heart! Thank u so much!!!

A lifetime experience with an amazing trekking team
A lifetime experience with an amazing trekking team We were a group of six friends who completed a 10-day Annapurna Circuit trek, with everything organised from Kathmandu airport pick-up to drop-off back at the airport. Along with the trek, we also visited Nagarkot, Chitwan National Park, Pokhara, and Muktinath Temple. The entire trip was very well planned and professionally managed. Raj from the Nepal trekking company was amazing. He was very professional, clear, and helpful from the beginning. Every small detail was explained properly and clearly written in the communication, which gave us a lot of confidence before and during the trip. Our guide, Binod, was excellent. He had great knowledge of the Annapurna range and explained everything so well throughout the trek. Our porters, Ram, Ramesh, and Chong, were also fantastic. They were always helpful, sincere, and looked after our needs with great care. Although the trek was hard and challenging at times, the whole team encouraged and motivated us to complete it successfully. Because of their support, we were able to enjoy the journey and create memories for a lifetime. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would highly recommend this Nepal trekking company to anyone planning a trek in Nepal.

Why this scores 87
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Annapurna Base Camp trek: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.
How much does Annapurna Base Camp trek cost?
+
Prices start at $999 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Annapurna Base Camp trek take?
+
Plan for about 336 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.
Is Annapurna Base Camp trek worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 87 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 64 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Annapurna Base Camp trek?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Annapurna Base Camp trek suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 336-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Annapurna Base Camp trek?
+
Around 22 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 336-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Annapurna Base Camp trek start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?
+
On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kathmandu Sightseeing | UNESCO World Heritage sites Private/Group, Manaslu Circuit Trek, Manaslu Circuit Trek: Private Group & Discounte Price. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kathmandu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
