Magnificent.
It was a magnificent trip! The organization prior to the excursions, the constant communication, the incredible landscapes and places. We had a great time on both days of excursions. The guide Cecilia was excellent. Now we will have to return to do other excursions that we did not manage to do. Highly recommended!

My first trip alone, a great memory and achievement 🩷
A pleasure, the experience with Animal travel. It was my first trip alone and I had a great time, I felt super accompanied and safe. Both the girls from the agency and the guide Hugo (he knows a lot, he is an open book) and my second guide, Verena (she also knows a lot about the fauna and even knows the plants in the area very well, she was very patient and explained everything, both guides were very kind, explanatory and attentive. I was satisfied with the service. When I went to Punta Tombo, Nico took us, a pro at driving and super cool. Thank you very much for the coffee on Isla Escondida, it was comforting given the wind that there is plenty of here haha. Well bundled up and happy we were able to see penguins, guanacos, some whales, maras, etc. We have a beautiful country and the passion for their work is noticeable in the guides, they really give a lot of importance to the preservation of the fauna. Thank you very much! I hope to return soon. I loved traveling alone and having chosen you for this achievement, before I didn't dare, now I want to keep traveling always! A big hug!. Sofia.

Great experience!! Highly recommended!
Super attentive to the weather conditions, they organized the arrangement of our entire excursion schedule so that we could do them all! Punctual and super responsible! The guide was a genius; she even offered my daughter drawings to color with pencils on the way back from Punta Tambo, which was quite far from Madryn! They offered us a warm breakfast halfway through the journey on Isla Escondida to stave off the cold! And always with plenty of information and good vibes! We will definitely return, and with them!!

Animal watching in Punta Tombo and Isla Escondida: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Puerto Madryn.
How much does Animal watching in Punta Tombo and Isla Escondida cost?
+
Prices start at $125 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Puerto Madryn usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Animal watching in Punta Tombo and Isla Escondida take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Puerto Madryn is not rushed.
Is Animal watching in Punta Tombo and Isla Escondida worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 78 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 38 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Puerto Madryn, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Animal watching in Punta Tombo and Isla Escondida?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Animal watching in Punta Tombo and Isla Escondida suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Animal watching in Punta Tombo and Isla Escondida?
+
Around 13 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Puerto Madryn can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Puerto Madryn and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Animal watching in Punta Tombo and Isla Escondida start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Puerto Madryn within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Puerto Madryn?
+
On Outty we rank every Puerto Madryn experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Best of Peninsula Valdés in one day, Shore Tours Punta Tombo Cruise Ship Passengers Puerto Madryn, Full Day Peninsula Valdes Experience - optional Whale Watching. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Puerto Madryn?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Puerto Madryn?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
