    About this experience

An excursion along the Amalfi Coast is a definite must-do! Not only will you enjoy a different perspective of the coastline but will also discover the beauty of the many coves and little fishing villages along the way. If you go with Kids

If you’re traveling with children, I would not recommend taking this tour with Captain Stefano. My husband, our 7- and 5-year-old children, and I booked the full-day Amalfi Coast tour. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking, and the tour itself is a wonderful way to experience the beauty of the coastline. Unfortunately, our experience with Captain Stefano was disappointing. Throughout much of the day, we felt constantly rushed, and on several occasions he spoke to my family in a rude and disrespectful manner. He also showed very little patience or understanding toward our children, making us feel uncomfortable instead of welcome. At one point, he even took the rest of the group back to the boat and left us at the restaurant, although he did come back to pick us up shortly afterward. Despite this, we chose to make the best of the day because we were visiting such an incredible place. We also noticed that although most of the group consisted of American tourists and there was only one Italian couple, Captain Stefano focused almost entirely on the Italian couple, explaining the coastline to them in great detail in Italian. The rest of the group received very little information, and we felt largely ignored. In my opinion, Captain Stefano may be better suited to leading tours for adults or Italian-speaking groups, as he did not seem comfortable hosting families with young children. I want to be clear that this review reflects only our experience with this particular captain. The Amalfi Coast is stunning, and the tour itself is absolutely worth doing. If you are traveling with children, I would simply recommend requesting a different captain so you can enjoy the experience in a more relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

A stunning day cruising the Amalfi coast

An absolutely lovely day cruising the Amalfi coast with a small group of people. This family run company obviously take pride in their business and it starts when you book the tour and ends on your return. A beautifully kept boat with towels, drinks and toilet on board. The skipper made sure everyone was comfortable and safe . He pointed out important landmarks on the way, stopped in beautiful swimming places and we had the most beautiful lunch at da Teresa and had enough time to see the sights of Amalfi. On arrival back in Positano, the port was very busy so they organised a small dingy to expedite the process back to shore. Had the best day. My advice - don’t book any where else

Amalfi Coast Full Day Tour With Lunch Stop

My family of four had an amazing day doing a private tour of the Amalfi coast with Captain Stefano. This is a small family run business, and they do an outstanding job. It was the highlight of our trip to Positano. The boat is extremely well kept, and the amenities are perfect. We arrived with nothing but our bathing suits and they handled the rest. We had an amazing lunch at La Tonnarella, and invited the Captain to join us. Our experience was 10/10, highly recommended!

Boat trip along the Amalfi Coast

I went hiking along the Amalfi Coast with this company and it was amazing! The girls at the desk were kind and professional, sailor Stefano showed me some caves and I took a couple of bathroom breaks. Stefano was really nice, helpful and courteous, and was kind enough to explain all the hidden details of this beautiful coast. I recommend the Cassiopeia company to anyone who wants to explore the coast and have fun in a healthy relaxation.

Amalfi Coast Full Day Private Slow Cruise from Positano: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Positano.

How much does Amalfi Coast Full Day Private Slow Cruise from Positano cost?

    +

Prices start at $1200 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Positano usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Amalfi Coast Full Day Private Slow Cruise from Positano take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Positano is not rushed.

Is Amalfi Coast Full Day Private Slow Cruise from Positano worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable family friendly in Positano, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Amalfi Coast Full Day Private Slow Cruise from Positano?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Amalfi Coast Full Day Private Slow Cruise from Positano suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Amalfi Coast Full Day Private Slow Cruise from Positano?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Positano can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Positano and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Amalfi Coast Full Day Private Slow Cruise from Positano start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Positano within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Positano?

    +

On Outty we rank every Positano experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cooking class with Pasta, mozzarella and Tiramisu with wine, Capri and Blue Grotto Semi Private Boat Day Trip from Sorrento, From Sorrento: Positano & Amalfi Coast Boat Tour with Pick Up. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Positano?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Positano?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
