Absolutely the best tour guide in the Amalfi Coast!
I met Gennaro on a hiking tour with a UK touring company in 2024, and the experience stayed with me long after it ended. It was so special that I felt a real pull to share it with some of my dearest friends. So we did. We teamed up with our yoga instructor—who had moved to Spain in 2025—and together we planned a week-long yoga and hiking adventure with Gennaro. I didn’t think anything could top what we experienced in 2024—but I was wrong. Gennaro somehow made it even more fun. Beyond the incredible knowledge he shared about each region we hiked, he brought us to local farms, where we gathered around tables filled with authentic, unforgettable food, and immersed ourselves in ancient music and dancing with locals. He was incredibly patient and accommodating with every change we requested along the way. He wasn’t just our tour guide—he made sure every detail was exactly what we wanted, from transportation to spa options to tracking down the best gelato spots. Gennaro made sure this wasn’t just a hiking trip— he made sure we felt welcomed into the heart of the Amalfi Coast and its people. Mille grazie, Gennaro!!!

An unforgettable hiking week with Gennaro in beautiful Amalfi Coast
Gennaro organised and led our hiking group (21) for one week with a positive attitude, great flexibility and kindness. He shared the local (extremely rich!) history and culture with a natural passionate approach. Highly recommended!

Great hiking week in Amalfi Coast with Gennaro
We had a wonderful hiking week in the Amalfi Coast thanks to Gennaro, who organised everything (hike programme, accommodation, meals, transport , cultural and other attractions) very well. On top, he is patient, flexible and has a great sense of humour. We did the amazing Path of Gods with him and also the Valle delle Ferriere, Ravello, Capri, Amalfi, Positano and Tremonti Valley. He also arranged us one day visit of Herculaneum and Pompei, so we learned about the region’s history even more. We wholeheartedly recommend his hikes and services and will remember this week for long. Thank you !

A Truly Special Experience with Gennaro
Hiking the Path of the Gods with Gennaro was the highlight of our trip. The views were breathtaking, but what made it unforgettable was Gennaro’s knowledge, warmth, and storytelling. He shared local history, took great photos, and made us feel welcome and at ease. More than just a hike - it was a meaningful, authentic experience. Highly recommended!

Great experience with an informative guide!
My partner and I had a fantastic experience with Gennaro. He provided clear and detailed instructions on where and how to meet, including pinned locations and helpful advice on parking, ferry, and bus transport after the walk. He was incredibly considerate of our different fitness levels, adjusting the pace and allowing for extra breaks when needed. Being based so close to the Path of the Gods was a real bonus, and having Gennaro guide us through it with such fascinating insights about the area made it all the more memorable. We’re so glad we took on this challenging activity – every step was absolutely worth it.

Why this scores 82
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private tour to the Path of the Gods with Gennaro: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Positano.
How much does Private tour to the Path of the Gods with Gennaro cost?
+
Prices start at $165 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Positano usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private tour to the Path of the Gods with Gennaro take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Positano is not rushed.
Is Private tour to the Path of the Gods with Gennaro worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 82 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 51 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Positano, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private tour to the Path of the Gods with Gennaro?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private tour to the Path of the Gods with Gennaro suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private tour to the Path of the Gods with Gennaro?
+
Around 18 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Positano can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Positano and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private tour to the Path of the Gods with Gennaro start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Positano within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Positano?
+
On Outty we rank every Positano experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cooking class with Pasta, mozzarella and Tiramisu with wine, Capri and Blue Grotto Semi Private Boat Day Trip from Sorrento, From Sorrento: Positano & Amalfi Coast Boat Tour with Pick Up. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Positano?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Positano?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
