An amazing trip for a...
An amazing day trip, unforgettable experience of the place, beautiful landscapes and the drive, it was all well worth . Our tour guide Gabriella made it absolutely fascinating. She planned the trip and day very well. She knew the history of all the places and surroundings in and out. Pleasant and charming lady, we had plenty to talk about the places and history throughout the day and we stopped over for a nice lunch at a very scenic spot in the town. We really enjoyed the day and surely would recommend this trip.

A perfect day in Austria
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Perfect Day in Austria – Thank You, Manfred! Our private tour with Salzburg Private Tours was absolutely amazing! From start to finish, everything was seamless and perfectly planned. Manfred was an incredible guide — friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about sharing the beauty of Austria and Bavaria. What made the day so special was how Manfred carefully curated our entire itinerary based on our interests. He really took the time to understand what we liked and customized the experience perfectly — from scenic viewpoints and charming villages to hidden local spots we would have never found on our own. We visited highlights like Hitler’s home and the Eagle’s Nest, but what we’ll remember most are the personal touches and stories Manfred shared along the way. The car was spotless and comfortable, and we never felt rushed — just relaxed and able to truly enjoy every moment. If you’re visiting Salzburg and want to explore the best of Austria and Bavaria at your own pace, don’t hesitate to book a private tour with Manfred. It was the highlight of our trip!

Unexpected perfection
When Patrick, our guide, got out of a brand new Audi & greeted us, my 1st thought was "how is this 20 something year old Austrian kid going to inform this 61 year old man and his wife about things we've studied for years." Never judge a book by its cover because our day with him was absolutely perfect. Patrick is a brilliant young man who guided us on one of the best tours we've ever been on. He even went beyond expectations and took us to Sound of Music locations our Panoramic Tour failed to do the day before. His English is flawless and it's a day I'll never forget.

Outstanding trip! Wonderful guide!
Lena was exceptional! She guided us everywhere and even went all the.way to Eagles Nest and explained everything in depth. She made the trip wonderful. Her attention to detail was perfect. The restaurant we ate at in Berchtesgaden had a. Beautiful view and wonderful food. Can’t say enough wonderful things about the whole day. Well worth the money we spent on this trip. In fact, it has by far exceeded our expectations. Thank you TripAdvisor for recommending this tour company. It was THE HIGHLIGHT of Salzburg!!!!

Why this scores 70
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Alpine Majesty: Eagle's Nest, Salt Mine Salzburg & Berchtesgaden: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Salzburg.
How much does Alpine Majesty: Eagle's Nest, Salt Mine Salzburg & Berchtesgaden cost?
+
Prices start at $109 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Salzburg usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Alpine Majesty: Eagle's Nest, Salt Mine Salzburg & Berchtesgaden take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Salzburg is not rushed.
Is Alpine Majesty: Eagle's Nest, Salt Mine Salzburg & Berchtesgaden worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 17 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Salzburg, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Alpine Majesty: Eagle's Nest, Salt Mine Salzburg & Berchtesgaden?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Alpine Majesty: Eagle's Nest, Salt Mine Salzburg & Berchtesgaden suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Alpine Majesty: Eagle's Nest, Salt Mine Salzburg & Berchtesgaden?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Salzburg can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Salzburg and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Alpine Majesty: Eagle's Nest, Salt Mine Salzburg & Berchtesgaden start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Salzburg within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Salzburg?
+
On Outty we rank every Salzburg experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Austrian Apple Strudel Cooking Class including Lunch in Salzburg, Salzburg: Palace Concert at the Marble Hall of Mirabell Palace, The Original Sound of Music Tour in Salzburg. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Salzburg?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Salzburg?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
