A Wonderful Experience in Salzburg! 🍎🥨
We had the BEST time at Edelweiss Cooking School in Salzburg! We signed up to learn how to make traditional apple strudel and pretzels, and it turned out to be one of the most enjoyable experiences of our trip. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and encouraging. The cooking school itself was absolutely charming, and the instructors did a wonderful job explaining each step and guiding us through the process. Even as beginners, we felt comfortable giving everything a try! And the best part? Getting to sit down together afterward and enjoy dinner featuring the fruits of our labor — or, in our case, our freshly made apple strudel and pretzels! It was such a fun and memorable way to experience a little of Austrian culture. If you're visiting Salzburg and looking for something beyond the usual sightseeing, we highly recommend Edelweiss Cooking School. It's a wonderful opportunity to learn something new, meet friendly people, and make memories you can take home with you. A definite highlight of our Salzburg visit! 🇦🇹❤️

Excellent and fun cooking experience
Excellent fun experience. Clean environment. Great hands on instruction. Strudel And pretzels were fun to make and delicious. The homemade goulash stew was a bonus.

Awesome class. Small size...
Awesome class. Small size so you get individual attention. Strudel and pretzel dough is made ahead of time by the instructor so you can assemble and bake your strudel and pretzel. Dough making demonstrating happens near the end of class. Delicious goulash to enjoy with your pretzel. Drinks available for purchase. Great experience

Strudel and Pretzel
A lot of fun and very tasty! Selen was very patient with us beginners. The goulash paired beautifully with the hot pretzels. Options for beverages was an added bonus.

Great time!
Beautiful aesthetic, great teacher and excellent lunch. Our streusel was less than ideal but we left with a few ideas to male the next one even better. Definitely worth the couple of hours!

How much does Apple Strudel & Salzburg Prezel Cooking Class Experience & Lunch cost?

Prices start at $74 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Salzburg usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Apple Strudel & Salzburg Prezel Cooking Class Experience & Lunch take?
+

Is Apple Strudel & Salzburg Prezel Cooking Class Experience & Lunch worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 78 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 48 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Salzburg, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Apple Strudel & Salzburg Prezel Cooking Class Experience & Lunch?

Is Apple Strudel & Salzburg Prezel Cooking Class Experience & Lunch suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Apple Strudel & Salzburg Prezel Cooking Class Experience & Lunch?
+
Around 17 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Salzburg can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Salzburg and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

+

What are the best things to do in Salzburg?
+

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Salzburg?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Salzburg?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
