Nafika is the best
Worth every penny! All of the guides and the crew were absolutely amazing. They checked our heart rate and oxygen levels everyday, provided us with SO MUCH food and made sure we were comfortable all the way up Kili (and back down too lol). If you book with Nafika you wont regret it. They are a locally owned/operated company, so the money stays in the community unlike the american/russian operated companies. Our main guides were Meshack, Godfrey, and Filbert who were all awesome, but so many other people like Judica, Fadihl, Emmanuel and Riziki (and everyone else ofc) made our trip so amazing and worth it. Our group size was 5 total so we all felt like family and bonded quickly. At the end of the 8 days, both my husband and I wished we had more money to tip them. All-in-all vibes were great, felt healthy the whole time, and plan on going again on a different route with Nafika again in a few years.

Best Tanzania Experience Ever!!!! 10/10 A++++
Finished climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and a 4-day Serengeti safari with Nafika, and they were absolutely incredible! Tanzania is a magical place, and this crew made it a trip of a lifetime. On the mountain, the whole crew provided the best service and made sure we had a blast. Our guides Eli and Max, our cook Jonathan, our waiter Zella, and the whole rest of the crew worked so hard and brought the best positive energy every single day, no matter what. The food and gear were great, and I felt totally prepared for every day's trek. For the safari, our driver Kelvin was the man! He was so chill and incredibly knowledgeable about all three parks we visited. We saw every single animal you could possibly imagine. Huge thanks to Elias as well for coordinating everything he made everything so easy. I’m already dreaming of coming back to Tanzania, and I’ll definitely be hitting up my friends at Nafika when I do. Don't hesitate to book with them!

8 day lemosho adventure with Nafika
My husband and I, both 58, selected the 8 day Lemosho route with Nafika after reading so many positive reviews. Elias was great to deal with, even giving us a full refund when a knee injury forced a cancellation. We then rebooked, 2 yrs later, with a stronger knee. We were collected from the airport, then Meshack, our lead guide, checked our gear and filled any gaps. Once you start out you quickly realise that ALL the companies use local guides and porters. We had 18 crew, inc 3 guides for our group of 5. Minus 34 sleeping bag provided was super cosy. Pee bottle essential, especially on diamox. A challenge for me, 3 layers and on my knees! Twice daily health checks, inc blood oxygen levels. The guides are well trained and experienced, and also monitor you as you go. Altitude sickness is random and potentially serious, with Nafika your health is always the priority. The tipping ceremony is very heart warming, we have so many great memories to treasure. We are very grateful and proud to be Bubba and Mumma Simba to our Nafrika family. We hope to return one day. ❤️ ($400USD pp for a group of 5)

8 Days Kilimanjaro Hike via Lemosho Route: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Moshi.
How much does 8 Days Kilimanjaro Hike via Lemosho Route cost?
+
Prices start at $2,690 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Moshi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 8 Days Kilimanjaro Hike via Lemosho Route take?
+
Plan for about 192 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Moshi is not rushed.
Is 8 Days Kilimanjaro Hike via Lemosho Route worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 85 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 85 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Moshi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 8 Days Kilimanjaro Hike via Lemosho Route?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 8 Days Kilimanjaro Hike via Lemosho Route suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 192-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 8 Days Kilimanjaro Hike via Lemosho Route?
+
Around 30 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Moshi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Moshi and add a light layer if any part of the 192-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Moshi?
+
On Outty we rank every Moshi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Materuni Waterfall, Coffee Tour and Picnic Hot Lunch, Materuni Waterfall and Coffee Plantation Half Day Tour, Kilimanjaro climb, Machame Route (7-day). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Moshi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Moshi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
