The Kilimanjaro climb 8 days lemosho is the best for acclimatization. The remote is less used and beautiful way up to the Shira Plateau. The minimum duration for the Lemosho route is 6 days, however we strongly recommend hiking the route in 8 days. The additional 8th day will give your body more time to acclimatize, reducing the effects of altitude sickness and give you more time to rest before attempting the summit.

The Best Lemosho Tour Available
This was a truly epic experience, taking on Kili was something that we had always dreamed of, and Ringo and Eden were perfect guides, and their passion and dedication meant that we both did summit on what was a very windy and cold night with temperatures that must have been around -20°C. I am grateful to them and their team for making our experience so memorable. The personalised care and attention to our every need was exceptional. I would highly recommend.

TJT: Very professional!
We had such a great time with Emmanuel‘s Tanzania Joy Tour and all his Partners! Emmanuel and his sister Mary find a solution for everything. Very professional. The Kilimandjaro trek was so great. A huge thanks to the porters, so strong and so nice, Togolai Gerevas Gerard Godefroy Elias Thomas Bon Kolokolo Rashid Mohamed Ali (that's two persons), cook “Mr. Delicious” Jeremia, and guides Patrick and Lennard. They all took extreme good care of us and we managed the summit. Patrick knows his mountain and his team very well, Lennard is the Pacemaker. We chose the 8 Days Lemosho route for best acclimatization of the body, so it was pole pole (slowly slowly) and successful ;) The summit ascension (from midnight to 7am, so at night) was very cold so to any layers you plan to wear, take an extra fleece jacket in the backpack just in case. It was important for us to give the tips directly to each of them, which was accepted by the guide. It was good to see joy in the eyes of each of them. If this is also important for you, make sure to plan it with the guide (he knows who does what exactly - some porters take extra tasks). You may feel some friction, apparently some guides keep a percentage of the porters tips for themselves - remember, this is YOUR gift to each team member, so it is YOUR decision to give it personally to each of them. Now it is important to discuss the best time with the guide, to not jeopardize his organization - usually at the very end, when all tasks have been completed. Make sure to take USD bank notes printed after 2006 as the older ones cannot be used in Tanzania. EURO bank notes are also accepted for the tips. Then we had a great 4-day-safari with guide Roger (he knows so much! And is very kind) and cook Rashid. Thanks TJT for everything!

Fantastic 8 day Lemosho route with Tanzania Joy Tours
It really was a fantastic trip! Summit day was tough, but once you are on top of Uhuru peak, everything is immediately forgotten, what a view. But all the days before and after Summit day were also fantastic!! Only positive experiences with Tanzania Joy Tours. All my many questions were answered quickly and the team that came along was really great! My guide was Kelvin and he was really very skilled and super friendly. I also felt really safe and comfortable with him. I can only highly recommend Tanzania Joy Tours and a climb to Kilimanjaro to everyone!!!

8 Days Lemosho Route Climbing: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Moshi.
How much does 8 Days Lemosho Route Climbing cost?
+
Prices start at $2,713 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Moshi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 8 Days Lemosho Route Climbing take?
+
Plan for about 192 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Moshi is not rushed.
Is 8 Days Lemosho Route Climbing worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Moshi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 8 Days Lemosho Route Climbing?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 8 Days Lemosho Route Climbing suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 192-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 8 Days Lemosho Route Climbing?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Moshi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Moshi and add a light layer if any part of the 192-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 8 Days Lemosho Route Climbing start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Moshi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Moshi?
+
On Outty we rank every Moshi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Materuni Waterfall, Coffee Tour and Picnic Hot Lunch, Materuni Waterfall and Coffee Plantation Half Day Tour, Kilimanjaro climb, Machame Route (7-day). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Moshi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Moshi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in 8 Days Lemosho Route Climbing?
+
Included: Private transportation; Other; Bottled water; Cook and Porters Salary; and Snacks. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.
Does 8 Days Lemosho Route Climbing include hotel pickup?
+
Yes, pickup is offered, or you can meet at the start point instead from 3 listed pickup locations in and around Moshi. Be ready about 300 minutes before the start time. You can also enter a custom pickup address when booking.
What languages is 8 Days Lemosho Route Climbing offered in?
+
It runs in English. Pick your language when choosing a date and time, as not every departure runs in every language.
Will I get instant confirmation and a mobile ticket for 8 Days Lemosho Route Climbing?
+
Confirmation is sent by the operator after booking, usually within 48 hours; if it is not confirmed you are not charged. Mobile tickets are accepted, so you can show the voucher on your phone.
What happens to 8 Days Lemosho Route Climbing if the weather is bad?
+
