An Unforgettable 15-Day Tanzania Adventure with Kilisa Tours & Safaris – 8-Day Lemosho Kilimanjaro Climb and 7-Day Safar

From the initial booking to the end of our journey, everything was exceptionally well organized. Kilisa proved to be a professional local tour operator in Tanzania, delivering outstanding service throughout our adventure. The 8-Day Lemosho Route Kilimanjaro Climb Our Kilimanjaro trekking experience via the 8-day Lemosho Route was absolutely spectacular. The route offered breathtaking scenery, excellent opportunities for acclimatization and a gradual ascent through some of Mount Kilimanjaro's most beautiful landscapes. Our experienced mountain guides were professional, attentive and highly knowledgeable about Kilimanjaro trekking. They monitored our health throughout the climb, maintained a suitable walking pace and provided excellent guidance, particularly during the challenging summit night. The porters and mountain chef also did an outstanding job, ensuring that our camps were comfortable and our meals were delicious. Reaching Uhuru Peak at 5,895 metres was the highlight of our Kilimanjaro adventure. The incredible sunrise and panoramic views made all the effort worthwhile. We were particularly impressed by the dedication and teamwork of the entire Kilisa mountain crew. The 7-Day Tanzania Wildlife Safari After our successful Kilimanjaro summit, we continued with a seven-day Tanzania safari exploring the country's famous northern safari circuit. Kilisa Tours & Safaris organized a fantastic safari itinerary, including Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Our safari guide was extremely knowledgeable about Tanzania's wildlife and ecosystems. We enjoyed unforgettable game drives, with opportunities to observe elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and numerous other animals in their natural habitats. The Serengeti's magnificent landscapes and the extraordinary wildlife of Ngorongoro Crater were particularly memorable. The mid-range safari accommodation arranged by Kilisa Tours & Safaris was comfortable and welcoming. The lodges and tented camps offered excellent hospitality, delicious meals and relaxing surroundings after our daily game drives. Exceptional Service from a Local Tanzania Tour Operator What made this journey particularly special was the outstanding service provided by Kilisa Tours & Safaris. As a locally owned Tanzania safari and Kilimanjaro trekking company, they demonstrated excellent destination knowledge, professionalism and genuine hospitality. Naick and his team handled all the arrangements efficiently, including transfers, accommodation, mountain logistics and safari transportation. Communication was excellent, and we appreciated the personal attention given to every detail of our trip. Combining an 8-day Lemosho Route climb with a 7-day mid-range Tanzania safari was an excellent way to experience Tanzania's mountains and wildlife in one holiday. We highly recommend Kilisa Tours & Safaris to anyone looking for a reliable local tour operator for Kilimanjaro climbing, Tanzania wildlife safaris or combined Kilimanjaro and safari packages. Their professional guides, dedicated crew and excellent organization made our 15-day adventure truly memorable. Thank you, Naick, and the entire Kilisa Tours & Safaris team for an unforgettable experience.

An Exceptional Kilimanjaro Experience with Kilisa Tours

I recently completed the 8-day Lemosho Route to the summit of Kilimanjaro with Kilisa Tours, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. From start to finish, this was an exceptional experience. What stood out most was the incredible care shown by our guide and crew. Our guide was attentive, experienced, and clearly prioritized both our safety and our enjoyment of the climb. He read the group's pace perfectly, kept spirits high during the tougher stretches, and gave clear, honest guidance about altitude and acclimatization every step of the way. The porters and support crew worked tirelessly, always greeting us with warmth and encouragement at camp, and it was obvious the whole team took genuine pride in getting every client to the summit safely. The 8-day Lemosho itinerary itself was a great choice — the extra days built in for acclimatization made a real difference, and I felt properly prepared for summit night rather than rushed. The route's scenery was stunning too, moving through rainforest, moorland, and alpine desert before the final push to Uhuru Peak. Beyond the technical execution, it was the personal touches that made Kilisa Tours stand out: checking in on how we were feeling multiple times a day, celebrating small wins along the trail, and creating a genuine sense of teamwork between climbers and crew. It didn't feel transactional — it felt like they were as invested in us reaching the summit as we were. If you're considering climbing Kilimanjaro via the Lemosho Route, I'd choose Kilisa Tours without hesitation. Their combination of professionalism, safety focus, and genuine warmth made this one of the best experiences of my life.

Amazing trek to the roof of Africa

We deliberately chose a local company and are so glad it was Kilisa Tours. We had 8 porters, a chef, waiter and 2 guides for us two and we would have not been able to do it without them. Each day they checked our health and advised us on what to do to make it a successful trip. We interacted with the whole team everyday and they all made it such a fantastic experience. We got to know them and learned a lot about Tanzania their culture and life which we would not have in a larger group. I would definitely recommend Kilisa Tours!!!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for choosing Kilisa Tours and for sharing your fantastic experience! As a proud local company, it means the world to us that you valued the personalized connection and cultural insights that come with a smaller group. Our dedicated team—including our professional Kilimanjaro guides, hard-working porters, and exceptional chef and waiter—always goes above and beyond to ensure a safe, successful, and deeply memorable Tanzania trekking experience. Daily health checks and expert guidance are a core part of how we support our climbers every step of the way. We truly appreciate your high recommendation and look forward to welcoming you back to Tanzania for another incredible adventure in the future!"

    Kilimanjaro

After researching many tour companies and contacting a few, I selected Kalisa. They were responsive to my questions with straight forward answers. I met with Bakari, my guide the day prior and went over my gear and what to expect with the hike. On the mountain the Kalisa team seemed to be a notch above the others. They left camp as a team and hiked together. Everyone from the porters to Amir, the chef to Bakari had one goal and that was to reach the summit. On summit night I don’t normally ascend with poles but as my legs were getting tired Bakari got my poles and told me to pull myself up the mountain. It worked. Also on summit night Eddy, a porter went along to provide any needed support. The food was good and plentiful. More starch than I usually eat but that is what is needed on the mountain. Amir even served up scratch pizza one night. Hussein, my waiter made sure I had everything I needed while in camp. The porters were amazing. Their sure footedness and durability on the mountain was something to see. They made it all happen. I highly recommend Kalisa tours for your experience.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to share your detailed review and for highly recommending Kilisa Tours! We are absolutely thrilled to hear that your mountain expedition was a phenomenal success. Our team places a massive priority on thorough preparation, which is why meeting with your guide, Bakari, to review expectations and inspect your equipment against our trekking gear guidelines is such a crucial step before setting out. We are incredibly proud of our mountain crew's unity and dedication. Bakari's quick thinking with the trekking poles on summit night, Eddy's seamless support, Hussein's attentive camp service, and Amir's plentiful, nourishing meals—including that scratch-made pizza—are exactly what make our Mount Kilimanjaro climbing teams stand out. Our durable, sure-footed porters truly are the backbone of every successful trek. Huge congratulations on pushing through the fatigue and conquering the mountain! We would love to welcome you back to Tanzania for a wildlife safari or another incredible adventure in the future.

    Hike Mt Kilimanjaro

We have visited Tanzania before, but this was our first time trekking Kilimanjaro. We are truly thrilled with our decision to choose Kilisa Tours & Safaris for our adventure, as they provided exceptional support throughout the trek. Kilisa Tours paired us with an incredible team of three guides, eighteen porters, a cook, and a waiter, all of whom were with us every step of the way. We were also impressed by the quality of the camping and climbing gear, which was top-notch and perfectly suited to the challenges of the trek. Climbing Kilimanjaro is no easy feat, pushing both physical endurance and mental resolve to their limits. Thankfully, we had an extraordinary team supporting us, and they deserve special recognition. Our lead guide, Bakari, along with assistant guides Nickson and Goodlacky, demonstrated an unparalleled level of expertise, professionalism, and care. Their attention to our safety and well-being was evident throughout, always ensuring we were in the best possible spirits to continue the climb. Cook Kurwa was another standout, delighting us with his creative and delicious meals. Every dish he prepared was a delightful surprise, and it kept us energized throughout the trek. The weather was perfect for our journey, and we were treated to breathtaking views, including a stunning sunrise on our way to the summit. We are immensely grateful to the entire Kilisa Tours team for helping us create such unforgettable memories.
