    Highly Recommend

Before the trip, I consulted many local companies and was glad to have found Lappet Faced Safaris. As the company's Chinese partner, Ms. Ding communicated very efficiently, with detailed and clear quotations, and reasonable advice that met the client's requirements. Overall, the experience was excellent, the vehicle was in good condition, and the guide was experienced and highly skilled. Especially when I arrived in Tarangire, I only realized I had left my passport and credit card at the hotel in Engro Engro when checking in the afternoon. The next day, I had to fly to Arusha to Tanzania. Thanks to Ms. Ding and Lappet's boss Francisco, they worked late into the night for this incident, I finally handed over the lost item to me at noon the next day, allowing my itinerary to continue smoothly without disruption. I highly recommend Lappet Faced Safaris and hope they can maintain their strengths and keep getting better.

    Will come again. Recommend

Definitely would recommend Lappet Faced if you want to come to Tanzania. They respond quickly, and will provide you a detailed price breakdown so everything is transparent. Also 100% recommend our guide Ritchie. He is the best! He knows the animals so well, and found us baby cheetah!

    Good

Very good, I saw all the big five, and also saw the cheetah mother and cubs, and lions mating. The hot air balloon was worth it, the hotel and food exceeded expectations, the guide was very responsible. Recommended.

    One day

This was out first Tanzanian Safari. After months of email correspondence with Erick/Francisco, we decided to extend out Safari + Arusha to 11day10night, spending two nights in Central Serengeti and three nights in Northern Serengeti. Our guide Noel was aweome. He was punctual, professional and able to scan the environment while driving steadily. He warmed up on day 2, and had big smiles on his face. When we parked for animal viewing, he will have the "animal guidebook page" ready and tell us the name / species of the animals. We spotted the Big Five, The Ugly Five, species of birds, jackals and hyenas, serval cat, leopard and lions with kills, Cheetahs walking vigilantly, wildebeests crossing (10-17 minutes x 4 times) and many more. We were extremely impressed when he made a stop and backed up when he spotted a tortoise hidden among the golden dried grass/straw while we were on the dusty road. We were so glad that we had Tanzanian lunches of rice and savory stew, with vegetables, and side of juice/coke/water and apple/banana as fruits, over burgers/sandwiches. It was also with proper plate/utensils. The itinerary included a morning hot-air balloon flight with Miracle Experience. As for accommodation, it was from mid range to luxury, and we especially enjoyed our stay at Nyota Camp, followed by Untamed Migration Camp (Kogatende region). Noel would be ready and waiting for us with a clean car every morning. He emptied the trash, washed the exterior, and even organizing shoes and items that I left in the car. We fell in love with The Serengeti (sunset was amazing), had a 1.5day glimpse of Arusha (local markets, local grocery stores, well reviewed local cafe, visited a local pharmacy too). I highly recommend Noel as your guide to the Serengeti, and Lappet Faced as your operator.

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Arusha.

How much does 8-Day Mid-Luxury Mara River Great Migration cost?

    +

Prices start at $5,730 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Arusha usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 8-Day Mid-Luxury Mara River Great Migration take?

Is 8-Day Mid-Luxury Mara River Great Migration worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Arusha, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

When is the best time to visit Arusha?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Arusha?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
