What you get
About this experience
Mammoth Hot Springs and Lamar Valley are two of the Upper Loop’s most unforgettable highlights. At Mammoth, travertine terraces glisten like frozen waterfalls, shaped over millennia by shifting hot springs—a living testament to Yellowstone’s volcanic heart. Elk often wander near the village, showing how wild and human spaces coexist. Lamar Valley, carved by ancient glaciers, is a haven for wildlife. Herds of bison and pronghorn graze the meadows, while wolves and bears roam, creating an untamed scene. The Upper Loop also features Tower Fall, steaming Calcite Springs, and the ancient Petrified Tree, each revealing Yellowstone’s dramatic past. Pair this with the Lower Loop’s geothermal wonders, such as Old Faithful and Yellowstone Lake, or the alpine beauty of Grand Teton National Park, featuring jagged peaks, clear lakes, and abundant wildlife, for an unforgettable Rocky Mountain experience.

The Best Guide for Yellowstone & Tetons
Thank you so much for making our Yellowstone and Teton trip so special! We toured the Lower Loop, Upper Loop, and Grand Tetons with Moses, and every moment was unforgettable. His knowledge, kindness, and great sense of humor made the entire experience so enjoyable. He made every stop interesting, fun, and memorable, and truly made our whole trip awesome. We’re so grateful to have had him as our guide and would highly recommend him to anyone visiting the area!

Great experience!
We had a great experience on our tour. Mo, our guide was very knowledgeable about where we could see wildlife. We saw bears, moose, bison, elk, antelope, eagles and many more. He was very knowledgeable about the parks and made sure we saw all the highlights. 5 star tour!
Response from the operator: Thank you, Sandy and Bernie. You two are the best. Mo.

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Grand Teton National Park.
How much does 3-Day Yellowstone & Grand Teton Upper & Lower Loop Wildlife Tours cost?
+

Is 3-Day Yellowstone & Grand Teton Upper & Lower Loop Wildlife Tours worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Grand Teton National Park, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 3-Day Yellowstone & Grand Teton Upper & Lower Loop Wildlife Tours?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 3-Day Yellowstone & Grand Teton Upper & Lower Loop Wildlife Tours suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 72-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 3-Day Yellowstone & Grand Teton Upper & Lower Loop Wildlife Tours?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Grand Teton National Park can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Grand Teton National Park and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 3-Day Yellowstone & Grand Teton Upper & Lower Loop Wildlife Tours start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Grand Teton National Park within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Grand Teton National Park?
+
Grand Teton tours run sunrise wildlife safaris for moose and bears, Snake River float trips, Jenny Lake shuttles and hikes, and combined Yellowstone and Teton loops. On Outty we rank every Grand Teton National Park experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Yellowstone Lower Loop Full-Day Tour, Yellowstone National Park - Full-Day Lower Loop Tour from Jackson, Grand Teton Half Day Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Grand Teton National Park?
+
June to September, with wildlife most active at dawn and dusk. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Grand Teton National Park?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
