10-Day Amazing Comfort Camping Safari

Our ten-day safari with I Dream of Africa Safaris was an unforgettable experience from beginning to end. Warren met us at the airport and greeted us with genuine warmth and kindness. His father, Chris, was our guide for the entire safari. Chris is one of the kindest human beings I have ever met. His knowledge of Tanzania’s flora and fauna is remarkable, and he genuinely loves to teach. It seemed there was nothing he didn’t know, and we learned something new from him every day. His attention to detail and passion for his country were evident throughout the trip. We wanted for nothing. Our safari included Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, the Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater. We witnessed the Great Migration of wildebeest and zebras and saw all of the Big Five. We also saw giraffes, elephants, rhinos, gazelles, lions and lionesses, ostriches, warthogs, impalas, and so much more. We were incredibly fortunate, but Chris’s experience and skill made finding the wildlife seem almost effortless. We were also warmly welcomed into a Maasai community, where we had the opportunity to learn about their culture and way of life. It was a meaningful and memorable part of the trip. Our accommodations included Mtoni River Lodge, Mamadunia Safari Lodge, Serengeti Kati Kati Tented Camp, Mara Under Canvas, and Tarangire Safari Lodge. The TWC tented camps were exceptional, as was Tarangire Safari Lodge. The accommodations were comfortable, the staff were wonderful, and the food throughout the trip was excellent. One practical tip for future travelers: pack lightly and bring plenty of clean, undamaged U.S. bills in small denominations for tipping. You will use more small bills than you expect. This was truly the trip of a lifetime. We came home with incredible memories and a much deeper appreciation for Tanzania, its wildlife, its people, and its culture. I cannot recommend Chris, Warren, and I Dream of Africa Safaris highly enough.

Exceeds expectations, the ultimate safari experience!

This was the absolute dream experience. Christopher is the best tour guide, with all the experience to be able to enjoy and see as many animals as possible. And we could not wish anything better with Japhet as one of a kind cook. Will always recommend I dream of Africa as the ultimate choice for a safari in Tanzania.

Excellent Safari

We are a young couple from Germany and started our honeymoon with a 9-day safari in Tanzania with the guide and tour organizer I Dream of Africa. We would simply like to recommend this small, family-run travel company from Tanzania. Christopher put together the trip individually according to our wishes, contact via WhatsApp (+255 754 461 594) was great. He speaks perfect English. We took a day trip to Kilimanjaro and to the Hadza/Datoga tribes and otherwise visited various national parks. Due to Christopher's extensive experience (almost 25 years), we had extremely good animal sightings (Big5, leopard hunting scene, fights between lions, a group of lions sharing a dead zebra, etc.). We were happy that Christopher always treated nature and animals with respect. He offers various accommodation options, but we decided to camp in the national parks, for which Christopher brought the high-quality equipment. We were able to hear the animals at night, went on long observation drives and enjoyed the food prepared by our personal "camp doctor" and cook Japhet. Although we can be picky when it comes to food, we were impressed every day. The two of them made an incredible effort to ensure that we had the best time. The price-performance ratio was really good. Because we are very grateful for these wonderful experiences, we would like to recommend Christopher's Safari to you. With so many European companies, it is difficult to advertise as a Tanzanian tour operator, but this is the only way the money goes directly to the tour operators in the country. A Once In a Lifetime Experience Came True!

Chris was extremely attentive and gave detailed explanations on the wildlife, flora and fauna that can be seen there. He was a good spotter of animals and as a result I saw the Big 5 including Rhinos and Cheetahs. Accommodation in the camps was as comfortable as you can get out in the Savannahs, all came with attached bathrooms and food was excellent. One note to mention was my wife had issues with her luggage and Chris helped even though it was late and during sleeping hours. Highly recommended!

Another Place to Travel in my Bucket List Ticked Off!

Chris was highly helpful and accommodating throughout the trip, explaining the various wildlife, flora and fauna. He was also a good spotter and we were lucky and managed to see the Big 5 animals. One particular incident that stood out was my wife's luggage was accidentally locked and he went out of the way to help us at night. Highly recommended!
