1. Zurich

   Settle into a comfortable, air-conditioned coach as your guide introduces the city. You'll pass the castle-like Swiss National Museum, glide along Bahnhofstrasse — one of the world's most exclusive shopping streets — and cross the financial district that made Zurich a global name. At Enge harbour, step off for a photo stop over Lake Zurich, with the snow-capped Alps on the horizon on clear days. The route then climbs past the Opera House into the elegant Zürichberg district, Zurich's most exclusive residential quarter, before winding back down through the university area, home of the renowned ETH.

2. Old Town

   Walk through the The Federal Palace building in Bern; housing the Swiss Federal Assembly and the Federal Council.Swap the coach for cobblestones. Your guide leads you through the medieval lanes of the Old Town, past the proud guild houses that once ran the city, the Town Hall, and the churches that define Zurich's skyline — St. Peter's with its giant clock face, the Grossmünster's twin towers, and the Fraumünster, famous for its Chagall windows. Along the Limmat riverside, the stories behind the facades bring five centuries of city history to life, and the walk ends at the pier where your boat is waiting.

3. Lake Zurich

   Board the boat at the pier and let Zurich slide away behind you. For half an hour you'll cruise the clear waters of Lake Zurich, past lakeside villas, vineyards and swimming spots, with open decks for photos and indoor seating if the weather turns. It's the most relaxing stretch of the day — and the views of the shoreline villages against the hills are the ones that end up as phone wallpapers. Disembark at Kilchberg, the village where Lindt has made chocolate since 1899, and follow the shore on a leisurely 15-minute walk to the museum. It's flat, easy and scenic — the lake on one side, and the anticipation building on the other.

4. Step into the striking building by Swiss star architects Christ & Gantenbein and look up: the vast atrium is crowned by the world's highest free-standing chocolate fountain, over nine metres of perpetually flowing Lindt — the souvenir photo takes itself. Your interactive audio-guided tour then traces chocolate's full journey: how cocoa conquered Europe, how Swiss pioneers invented the chocolate the world now copies, and how it's made today. The tour ends the only correct way — at the tasting stations, where the sampling is unlimited. Before leaving, browse the world's largest Lindt shop for gifts, or treat yourself at the Lindt Café (own expense).

5. Getting back is a mini-lesson in living like a local: your guide accompanies you by trolleybus and tram to Zurich Main Station, showing you how the city's excellent public transport works along the way.

6. FIFA Museum

   Independent Visit FIFA Museum with Audio Guide, head there after the tour — it's a short ride on your transport ticket, opposite Bahnhof Enge, and your tickets and directions are handed to you at check-in. Inside: three floors and more than 1,000 objects of football history, interactive galleries, a giant football pinball machine to test your touch, and the centrepiece — the original FIFA World Cup Trophy, back in its showcase after the 2026 tournament. A free audio guide in eight languages tells the stories behind it all.
