Enjoy Sights and Tastes while walking Zurich town!
James is a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. He also has a great sense of humor. We enjoyed our private tour with him that included multiple chocolate stops, cheese and ice cream! He gave us time to sit for a few minutes and was attentive to our pace. Going private is a plus! James is a great tour guide too!

Save your money, navigate on your own
I had high expectations for this tour. Sadly, it fell short. For the cost, certainly not worth it. In and out of 7 chocolate shops and a taste from each. The chocolate was excellent but certainly could have done the tour on our own. Our guide was pleasant and shared some interesting information but not enough to justify the cost. This is the first Viator that we have done that left us feeling disappointed

Disappointed
Not worth the money. A simple google search and you can find the chocolate shops on your own. Guide was ok. Truly regret the amount spent. I wish there were more reviews. Might have chosen a different experience.
Response from the operator: We regret to hear that your experience didn’t meet your expectations. Your feedback will be taken into serious consideration in our continuous efforts to provide travellers like you with a great experience in Zurich. We hope you still managed to enjoy some of the highlights of Zurich and hope to welcome you soon again on another LocalBini Experience.

Touring Europe - More than Chocolate
More Than Just Chocolate – A Fantastic Zurich Experience with Christoph We had an absolutely wonderful tour with Christoph today and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Zurich. While the experience centered around visiting some of the city’s boutique chocolatiers, what truly made it special was how much more it offered. Christoph is an exceptional guide — deeply knowledgeable about Zurich’s history, culture, and daily life in Switzerland. He brought the city to life with fascinating stories, local insights, and thoughtful context that made every stop meaningful. He also welcomed every question with enthusiasm, offering detailed and insightful answers that made the experience feel personal and engaging. The chocolate tastings were delightful, of course, but they became part of a much richer experience — one that connected us to the people, traditions, and spirit of Zurich. The two-hour format was just right: well-paced, engaging, and full of variety. We came away not only with a newfound appreciation for Swiss chocolate, but also for the city itself. An outstanding experience all around — thank you, Christoph, for sharing your passion and perspective with us!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words and positive review. We are happy to read you had a great time! We hope that in the future you can discover another city with LocalBini as your travel partner!

Why this scores 48
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Zurich: Chocolate Tasting and Walking Tour with a Local: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Zurich.
How much does Zurich: Chocolate Tasting and Walking Tour with a Local cost?
+
Prices start at $144 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Zurich usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Zurich: Chocolate Tasting and Walking Tour with a Local take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Zurich is not rushed.
Is Zurich: Chocolate Tasting and Walking Tour with a Local worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 48 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.6/5 across 19 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Zurich, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Zurich: Chocolate Tasting and Walking Tour with a Local?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Zurich: Chocolate Tasting and Walking Tour with a Local suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Zurich: Chocolate Tasting and Walking Tour with a Local?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Zurich can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Zurich and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Zurich: Chocolate Tasting and Walking Tour with a Local start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Zurich within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Zurich?
+
On Outty we rank every Zurich experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Zurich Food Tour with 10 Local Delicacies, Cheeses & Chocolates, Private, excellent guided tour of Zurich (from CHF 21/pers.), Zürich Historic District Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Zurich?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Zurich?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
