    Very Disappointed

Our driver was very nice, however, could not speak or understand English very well! But the worst part of this tour was that the car was way too small for 4 people!!!! When you are spending over $1000 for a driver to take you places that are 3 plus hours to get to, you want comfort, like. Vehicle with a third row! My one friend had to sit up front and the 3 of us swished in the back seat!! It was awful!! Not to mention, it seemed like the driver didn’t know the places he was supposed to take us as described in the booking!! Very disappointed!!

2 hour delayed start and disrespectful driver

While the Black Forest of Germany was beautiful, I rated this tour a 1 due to the disrespect from Yo Tours operator and driver. We were scheduled for 1000 departure and at approximately 0800 or 0830 they said that they would be an hour late due to the fact that we booked the excursion 1 day prior to departure. We then stood outside at 1100 waiting and started contacting them at 1115 when they didn't show up with little response from the tour operator. They stated that they would be there in "ten more minutes" at 11:20ish and again at 11:40ish they stated "10 more minutes". The tour operator apologized for the delay, and said that we could go wherever we wanted on the tour and if we wanted to add a stop we could. The driver arrived at 1208 and called and told us to come look for him. He didn't look at us or greet us, he just collected our luggage and loaded it and got in the car and asked if we wanted the AC turned on. We suggested skipping the first 3 stops in Switzerland due to the delayed start, and went strait for Triberg, Germany. At our first stop, he dropped us off, we stayed about 3 hours, then he picked us up and took us to our second stop. Every single thing was closed in Titisee and Schluchsee after 6pm. We realized this after walking around for ten minutes and we called and asked him to pick us back up and he complained that he had just parked his car and walked into town to look for something to do, he said "I just parked down the hill and walked up the hill and you want me to walk back down the hill to the car already?" He had an attitude with us the entire time. When we would ask for suggestions on where to go for good food or shopping, he said, "the whole place is for shopping and eating." We looked up a bar that served Black Forest Cake that was still open to stop and pick up a piece of cake and head back and he got mad and raised his voice and stated that we needed to be dropped off by 2200 and picking up the cake would put us back by 2215. However, he started the tour LATE at 1210 and we had paid for a tour that was advertised as 'approximately 10-11 hours long'. So 10 to 11 hours would have been 2210 to 2310, and we were well under that time, because nothing was even open for us to visit beyond 1800. He proceeded to call his boss and rant in another language and then told me to speak to his boss on the phone. By this point I was very disappointed and I stated all of this to his boss at which point the boss told me "sorry about him, he's a new driver". The boss was apologetic after I told him that I was disappointed, but by this point our trip was over and we had already missed every single stop except for 1. Overall, we felt that the 2 hour delay resulted in 2 less hours of us being able to do anything, because everything closed down between 1700-1800. I generally do not leave bad reviews, and I will say that I gave this gentleman multiple chances to start over, but he was disrespectful multiple times and he was not ever interested in talking to us and he was irritated the entire trip.

Zürich: Private Car Tour to Rhine Falls, Titisee and Black Forest: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Zurich.

How much does Zürich: Private Car Tour to Rhine Falls, Titisee and Black Forest cost?

    +

Prices start at $199 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Zurich usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Zürich: Private Car Tour to Rhine Falls, Titisee and Black Forest take?

    +

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Zurich is not rushed.

Is Zürich: Private Car Tour to Rhine Falls, Titisee and Black Forest worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 52 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.2/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Zurich, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Zürich: Private Car Tour to Rhine Falls, Titisee and Black Forest?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Zürich: Private Car Tour to Rhine Falls, Titisee and Black Forest suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Zürich: Private Car Tour to Rhine Falls, Titisee and Black Forest?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Zurich can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Zurich and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Zürich: Private Car Tour to Rhine Falls, Titisee and Black Forest start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Zurich within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Zurich?

    +

On Outty we rank every Zurich experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Zurich Food Tour with 10 Local Delicacies, Cheeses & Chocolates, Private, excellent guided tour of Zurich (from CHF 21/pers.), Zürich Historic District Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Zurich?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Zurich?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
