The most fun you can have
Possibly one of the most fun experiences I’ve ever had. As a solo traveller I was nervous and apprehensive I would end up lonely but the whole trip ended up being 5 other solo travellers who very quickly turned from strangers into friends. Our guide, jonathon Yonts, could not have done a better job. He was extremely professional and organised, while also managing to be one of the most fun people to be around. Whatever he is being paid isn’t close to being enough, this man did not take one second off the whole trip. He was constantly making sure everyone was good, organising food, helping us out etc. he took the time to get to know us all quite deeply and really invested himself in us all. An unbelievable trip that will stick with me for the rest of my days.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing this incredible review! We're truly happy to hear that your trip became such a memorable experience, especially as a solo traveler. It’s wonderful to know that you connected with your fellow travelers and that a group of strangers quickly became friends. We’ll be sure to share your heartfelt words with Jonathan. His dedication, organization, and genuine care for guests are exactly what make a trip special, and we know he’ll appreciate hearing how much of an impact he had on your experience. Thank you for traveling with us and for sharing such a meaningful memory!

Amazing three days of exploring Yosemite
The itinerary for the 3 days was well planned out and really showed the beauty of Yosemite. Considering we went on a weekend in July, we avoided overly crowded spots and queues, which I was concerned about. As a vegan, I was well looked after from a food perspective too, and the options we were given were good quality and healthy compared to other tours I've been on. The final day being a day of doing your own thing was nice too for those more independent travellers, and our guide Ben was great at giving us options with how to spend it. My only negative feedback would be the campsite and camping equipment (mattresses were pretty rubbish). I was keen to stay in the park and have a more 'in nature' feel as opposed to the tight squeeze of the RV park. I understand the choice is due to the facilities available, but it would be good to make this super clear to avoid disappointment. I also think it would be great to provide a packing list of what to bring pre-tour. A lot of us rocked up without a towel or pillow, as we did not know what would be provided.

Why this scores 70
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Yosemite 3-Day Camping Adventure from San Francisco: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for San Francisco.
How much does Yosemite 3-Day Camping Adventure from San Francisco cost?
+
Prices start at $676 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in San Francisco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Yosemite 3-Day Camping Adventure from San Francisco take?
+
Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in San Francisco is not rushed.
Is Yosemite 3-Day Camping Adventure from San Francisco worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 218 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in San Francisco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Yosemite 3-Day Camping Adventure from San Francisco?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Yosemite 3-Day Camping Adventure from San Francisco suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 72-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Yosemite 3-Day Camping Adventure from San Francisco?
+
Around 76 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in San Francisco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in San Francisco and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Yosemite 3-Day Camping Adventure from San Francisco start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central San Francisco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in San Francisco?
+
San Francisco packs Alcatraz, Muir Woods, Napa and the bay into day-trip range, which makes booking order matter more than anywhere else in the US. Alcatraz sells out weeks ahead, wine-country vans fill on weekends, and the best food walks in the Mission and Chinatown cap at a dozen people. Our ranking favours small groups and guides who live in the neighbourhood they walk. On Outty we rank every San Francisco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Small Group Yosemite and Giant Sequoias Day Trip from San Francisco, Golden Gate Bridge Muir Woods Sausalito with Optional Alcatraz, Chinatown, North Beach, Little Italy: 7 Tastings & History. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit San Francisco?
+
September and October, the city's real summer, once the fog season breaks. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in San Francisco?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
