- Winter in Yosemite is much colder than San Francisco. Wear warm clothes and shoes with rubber soles and good traction.

the bus
Pick up time was 5:50am.1st notice that bus would be late came at 7:30am. Shuttle bus came at 7:25 with tour leader and he knew nothing. Did not find out till 8:30 the bus had problems and the tour was canceled. Had to rebook. Was informed there was a mid-week price and I paid full price. want a refund. called office and had to rebook tour to tomorrow. haven't hear anything and have not received a confirmation. want to know if I am going tomorrow and when is the price being adjusted for the trip along with a discount for ruining the day.

BEWARE
Our bus got impounded at our second stop which was our lunch stop. This was because they were warned the day before they had a fuel leak and the emergency window was broke out and replaced with plexiglass which is unsafe. We got stuck at the lunch stop until another bus came to get us and it was dark by then and our whole group just wanted to go back home. We didn’t get back to our hotel until 12:05 am.

Do the thing!
The hike to the sequoias is great!! But the uphill return is a challenge. The time in the park is limited so think ahead about what you want to see. The views are unbelievable, I can’t overstate this!! I would like to spotlight our guide, Oliver. His commentary during the drive and tour was perfect, a mix of facts and local stories and personal experiences.

It’s good but it was...
It’s good but it was disappointing that you only get to see two Sequoia trees and one of them is dead from a fire. Should not be part of the tour. A waste of time.
