What you'll see and do
Yellowstone National Park
Your Expert naturalist guides will take you on a hike in Yellowstone. Your guides carry bear spray, are certified in Wilderness First Aid and know how to respect wildlife you might encounter on the trail We offer hikes catered to all ages and abilities. The exact hike with be determined by consultation with you. One of your favorite hikes is to the Grand Prismatic Spring overlook, Fairy Falls and Imperial Geyser in the Midway geyser basin. This is a relatively flat 6.7 mile out and back hike. We have a picnic by Imperial Geyser. We love hike this because it captures what is unique about Yellowstone: the geothermal features and affords time to visit the Grand Faithful geyser which is just 5 mile up the road from the trailhead. Entry into Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks is not included in the tour. The most economic option is to buy an “America the Beautiful” annual pass ($80) which grants entry into all parks and monuments. Once inside the park all activities are free.

Grand Prismatic Spring
One of our most popular hiking options: Fairy Falls and Imperial Geyser includes a small climb to the overlook of the Grand Prismatic Spring. This view from above avoids the crowds and allows you to take in the whole spring.
20 minutes here
Fairy Falls
Fairy Falls (200ft) is on the trail to Imperial Geyser. It is pretty as a destination in and of itself and is a 4.8-mile roundtrip if you decide to go no further. It is an additional 1 mile to Imperial Geyser from Fairy Falls. This extension is well worth it. You can hike to a waterfall anywhere, but visiting a backcountry geyser is a uniquely Yellowstone experience.

Old Faithful
Depending on your chosen hike, you will have time to stop at Old Faithful and witness the geyser erupt (typically every 90 minutes)

Acceptable
Long day of driving. Food was terrible. Polite driver but not really a guide. Got a little nervous when he was looking at his phone when driving.
Response from the operator: Carla, I am sorry we didn't meet your expectations. I apologize for the stale bread and have taken it up with the deli we use. I'll discuss the phone use with your guide. If you would be so kind as to elaborate, I'll follow up with you in person to unpack how he did not meet your expectations of a guide. Thanks for you feedback. Liam

Ultimate Yellowstone Guided experience
From pick up to drop off it was a fantastic experience. Liam was incredibly focused on curating the experience to our desires and got it just right. He loves his work and it shows in Hill efforts to give you the richest experience possible. If you are visiting Yellowstone, The Tetons or anywhere in the area, this is who you want curating your visit.
Response from the operator: Thanks Joe. It was a fun day with you. I'll take credit for the curating work but getting to enjoy a backcountry geyser all to yourself is increasingly rare in Yellowstone these days. Cheers Liam

Yellowstone privade guided
We traveled from Brazil to visit Yellowstone, and choosing Guides of Jackson Hole was one of the best decisions of our trip. Rachel was an amazing guide—knowledgeable, kind, and passionate about Yellowstone. She made our experience truly special, and our children absolutely loved her! They were so happy with the adorable bear and bison plush toys she gave them and will always remember that thoughtful gesture. Liam was also excellent. From the very beginning, communication was easy, everything was well organized, and we felt well taken care of.
Response from the operator: Valeu Paula! I'm so glad that you had a great time despite two days of the worst late-June weather for a while: at least two kids from Brazil got to see some snow! I'll pass your regards onto Rachel. Cheers Liam

How much does Yellowstone National Park Private Full Day Guided Hike cost?

Is Yellowstone National Park Private Full Day Guided Hike worth it?
+

How far in advance should I book Yellowstone National Park Private Full Day Guided Hike?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Jackson can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Jackson and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Yellowstone National Park Private Full Day Guided Hike start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Jackson within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Jackson?
+
On Outty we rank every Jackson experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Whitewater Rafting in Jackson Hole : Family Standard Raft, Sunrise 4-Hour Grand Teton Wildlife Adventure, Snake River Scenic Float Trip with Teton Views in Jackson Hole. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Jackson?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Jackson?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
