What you'll see and do
Grand Teton National Park
The full-day Grand Teton National Park tour will begin close to sunrise to maximize the hours of the day when wildlife is most active. Your naturalist guide will seek out wildlife hotspots, often off the beaten path on unmarked dirt roads in our comfortable 4wheel drive safari vehicles. Make use of our Swarovski spotting scopes and binoculars to view the daily habits of local fauna, including moose, elk, bison, pronghorn antelope, mule deer, wolves, black bears, grizzly bears, bald eagles, and trumpeter swans. After a morning session of uninterrupted wildlife observation, we’ll enjoy a picnic lunch, then we’ll continue to explore the natural landscape of the park and if desired by the group, we’ll embark on a short walk, along easy terrain, to observe the smaller wonders of this park. Make sure to pick your expert guide’s brain on topics like animal behavior, animal adaptations, the geology of the area, local botany, and the cultural history of this special place.

**Five-Star Grand Teton Experience**
We had an incredible 8-hour tour of Grand Teton with Sage! It was immediately clear how knowledgeable Sage was compared with other guides we saw throughout the day. Their ability to spot wildlife was incredible- we were driving and Sage spotted a black bear that anyone would have completely missed! We learned so much about the land, ecosystem in addition to animals. If you’re booking a Grand Teton or Yellowstone tour, ask for Sage!

Excellent private wilderness adventure with Alexis!
We had a great day with Alexis Cariddi. We were able to spot moose, elk, pronghorn, mule deer, bison and various birds. She’s knowledgeable about the flora and fauna and we had great conversation throughout the day. We highly recommend spending your day with Alexis!
Response from the operator: Alexis is a phenomenal guide and a valued member of our team; we're so glad you enjoyed your tour with her! That is an extensive list of wildlife sightings, goal achieved! Thank you so much for touring with us, we hope to see you again down the road. Cheers, Kelsey

Wonderful Tour and Guide
We enjoyed a great day with Ashley. She was a wonderful guide and made the absolute most out of a cloudy rainy day. We saw all of the animals we wanted to see except a bear, and we learned all kinds of interesting information about the park.
Response from the operator: Ashley is, as you said, a wonderful guide and a valued member of our team! We're so glad you enjoyed your day with her and got to see most of the wildlife on your list. Thank you for touring with us! Cheers, Kelsey

A Day in Teton National Park
Absolutely worth it! Our guide, Kirk Ryder, Taylored the trip based on what we wanted to see. We spent a good chunk of time observing a collared male grizzly rooting and digging in a meadow. He may have mated with 399, which made the observation more special. At another stop, we observed a mamma and baby moose, as well as a pair of Trumperter Swans. At this stop we heard Sandhill Cranes, and expressed our interest in seeing them . Kirk took us to a spot where we saw a pair foraging in a meadow. Kirk had so much information that my brain hurt from focusing on every bit of info he shared.
Response from the operator: Kirk is a wonderful guide; we're lucky to have him on our team. We're so glad you enjoyed your tour with him and got to see some incredible wildlife! Thank you so much for touring with us! Cheers, Kelsey

Epic Family Wildlife Adventure
We had a spectacular day! Roy was our guide and he shared the beauty and magic of this amazing place! Getting to see parts of the park that were off the beaten path was so cool. We saw so many animals highlights including the bull moose at Moose Pond and the bison crossing in the Mormon Row. We never would have seen as much on our own. Roy was a font of information about the history, geology and wildlife. We learned so much! The food was fantastic and we appreciated the environmental low impact of our delicious picnic. Thank you Roy and Ecotours for an epic day for our family!
Response from the operator: Roy is a fantastic guide and a deeply valued member of our team. We're so glad you enjoyed your tour with him and learned so much! Thank you for touring with us. Cheers, Kelsey

Why this scores 76
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private 8-Hour Grand Teton Adventure: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Jackson Hole.
How much does Private 8-Hour Grand Teton Adventure cost?
+
Prices start at $2443 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Jackson Hole usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private 8-Hour Grand Teton Adventure take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Jackson Hole is not rushed.
Is Private 8-Hour Grand Teton Adventure worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 93 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Jackson Hole, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private 8-Hour Grand Teton Adventure?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private 8-Hour Grand Teton Adventure suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private 8-Hour Grand Teton Adventure?
+
Around 33 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Jackson Hole can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Jackson Hole and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private 8-Hour Grand Teton Adventure start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Jackson Hole within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Jackson Hole?
+
Jackson Hole is wildlife-first: sunrise safaris for moose, bison and bears in Grand Teton, Snake River floats, Yellowstone day trips and winter sleigh rides through the National Elk Refuge. Guide experience and optics quality separate the wildlife tours. On Outty we rank every Jackson Hole experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Snake River Scenic Float, 8 Hour Combination Snowshoe & Wildlife Viewing in Grand Teton National Park, Best of Jackson Hole Wildlife Private Safari Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Jackson Hole?
+
June to September for hiking and floats, December to March for snow. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Jackson Hole?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
