    definitely not worth the money

Our guide was nice, but we drove a long way for a short walk and saw no wild life (except for 1 moose far away while we driving)

Wonderful & Unforgettable Experience!! Not to be missed!!

I would enthusiastically recommend Jackson Hole Wildlife Safaris to anyone and everyone visiting Jackson Hole!! Whatever your interests or abilities, based on my experience, I feel confident saying that you will be utterly delighted with their services and expertise. I know that I will forever cherish the memories made, the photographs taken, and the skills learned on my excursion with them! My husband and I visited Jackson Hole for the first time in early April 2023. For him, our trip was business + pleasure. Since I was just along for the ride, he booked me in for their “Premium Tour: Full-Day Grand Teton Photography Experience” on a day he knew he would be in board meetings all day. While my poor husband toiled away, I would get to go out on an 8 hour private tour with a professional photographer & naturalist guide to explore Grand Teton National Park. Bob Adams [who, I must say, is an absolutely great guy!!] would be my guide & photography coach for the day. Bob got to work ensuring that my Grand Teton Photography Experience would truly be an experience of a lifetime long before the day even began. Almost as soon as my tour was booked, Bob reached out to discuss what I hoped to shoot & what kind of camera gear I have. In order to help me achieve my dream shots, he wanted to have time to familiarize himself with my camera model and come up with a game plan for the day. When the day arrived, Bob was an exceptional guide! In early April, many roads in and around Grand Teton National Park are closed. Nevertheless, thanks to Bob’s intimate familiarity with the area, I was able to relax and revel in the breathtaking beauty of the Grand Tetons as he ferried me around to explore all the best spots that are accessible during that time of year. An obvious passion for photography complemented Bob’s familiarity with the lay of the land. Bob not only guided me to the most picturesque locations but, knowing that I am relatively new to photography, he also offered valuable suggestions which helped me to capture some of the best shots I have ever taken! I am extremely grateful for his creative and technical insights; I am unquestionably a better photographer today because of them! Perhaps most importantly, as I mentioned before, Bob is an all-around great guy! I feel it necessary to mention this fact again because, in truth, all of the expertise in the world won’t make someone who isn’t personable a great guide! I felt completely comfortable with Bob & very much enjoyed our conversation throughout the day. Long story short: Book an excursion with Jackson Hole Wildlife Safaris if you’re planning to visit the area – you won’t regret it!!

    An amazing tour!

We recently had a wonderful private day tour of Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park. Ash, our guide, was fantastic. She provided us with many interesting historical information and explained to us about animal behavior and other facts. Having an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide truly enhanced our tour experience. We were able to see many animals in their natural habitat. Of course, the scenery was beyond beautiful.

Private Grand Teton Winter Wildlife Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Jackson Hole.

How much does Private Grand Teton Winter Wildlife Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $448 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Jackson Hole usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Grand Teton Winter Wildlife Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Jackson Hole is not rushed.

Is Private Grand Teton Winter Wildlife Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 19 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Jackson Hole, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Grand Teton Winter Wildlife Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Grand Teton Winter Wildlife Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Grand Teton Winter Wildlife Tour?

    +

Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Jackson Hole can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Jackson Hole and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Grand Teton Winter Wildlife Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Jackson Hole within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Jackson Hole?

    +

Jackson Hole is wildlife-first: sunrise safaris for moose, bison and bears in Grand Teton, Snake River floats, Yellowstone day trips and winter sleigh rides through the National Elk Refuge. Guide experience and optics quality separate the wildlife tours. On Outty we rank every Jackson Hole experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Snake River Scenic Float, 8 Hour Combination Snowshoe & Wildlife Viewing in Grand Teton National Park, Best of Jackson Hole Wildlife Private Safari Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Jackson Hole?

    +

June to September for hiking and floats, December to March for snow. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Jackson Hole?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
