Worth every penny for a first visit to Yellowstone!
I will probably run out of space to say all the wonderful things I'd have to say about this tour. Our guide, Mike S., was fantastic. He preemptively let us know that he'd be providing us with regular updates on the next bathroom stops - which was, honestly, the only request I would have had for an all-day tour into a national park. He knew all the best locations to take us to and really planned out the timing for the sights just right. He made modifications to the locations to visit based on our physical capabilities (took us to a location that might not have been a good option for others due to the stairs). He gave us adequate time to explore the various locations, though there really isn't ever enough time, but I believe it was the perfect balance - spending maybe less time than I'd like but ultimately getting to see more locations. I would highly recommend this tour as a first visit to Yellowstone. Mike was fantastic about keeping a lookout for possible wildlife sightings and would not hesitate to pull off to get a better look. The only criticism I would have, and this wasn't Mike, is that the SUV had tinted windows so the views in the back rows were not as vivid as those in the front seat. But, Mike picked us up and dropped us off right at our VRBO location and really filled the day with a ton of great information. 10000% would recommend.

What an incredible...
What an incredible treasure it was to spend the day in Yellowstone with Mike. We learned so much about the topography and history of the land and park, and got to see so much. It was the highlight of our trip to Jackson.

Our Amazing Yellowstone Experience
We had Jesse for a full-day Yellowstone tour after having him for our Grand Teton tour the day before. We enjoyed our first tour so much that we specifically requested him again, and we’re so glad we did! We focused on Yellowstone’s lower loop, and Jesse’s enthusiasm for the national parks is unmatched. He knows the parks inside and out, from the best viewing locations and ideal timing for each stop to how long you should spend at each site. He also has a knack for finding the perfect places for group photos. We hadn’t originally planned to use a tour company for Yellowstone, but after such an incredible experience in Grand Teton, Jesse mentioned he had availability, and we immediately booked him. It was one of the best decisions we made on our trip. If you’re visiting Yellowstone, do yourself a favor and request Jesse… you won’t regret it!

Yellowstone and back again with Jessie
A great adventure, amazing sights and a long day. We could not have made this happen without our guide Jessie. He never tired. He came to our rental and picked us up and had facts and stories for the whole day. A completely tailored experience that covered everything we hoped for and more. His knowledge was astounding!

Get a Guide
Jessie O'Connor was our guide for a private tour and made for a very memorable experience. I didnt see many things that I had not seen before on prior self guided trips but his vast knowledge and experience from science to history explained everything from the geysers to how and why it was all there doing what it has. Also his familiarity helped save countless hrs as he was aware how to get in and out of parking etc.Definitely add a ton to the experience and photo opportunities!

Why this scores 70
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Full-Day Yellowstone National Park Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Jackson.
How much does Private Full-Day Yellowstone National Park Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $1645 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Jackson usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Full-Day Yellowstone National Park Tour take?
+
Plan for about 11 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Jackson is not rushed.
Is Private Full-Day Yellowstone National Park Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 109 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Jackson, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Full-Day Yellowstone National Park Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Full-Day Yellowstone National Park Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 11-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Full-Day Yellowstone National Park Tour?
+
Around 38 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Jackson can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Jackson and add a light layer if any part of the 11-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Full-Day Yellowstone National Park Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Jackson within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Jackson?
+
On Outty we rank every Jackson experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Whitewater Rafting in Jackson Hole : Family Standard Raft, Sunrise 4-Hour Grand Teton Wildlife Adventure, Snake River Scenic Float Trip with Teton Views in Jackson Hole. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Jackson?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Jackson?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
