    This was the best day...

This was the best day ever! Orlando picked us up from the train station in Certaldo and brought us to the site, and we had the pleasure to do the wine tasting and vineyard tour with Enrico. Both were extremely nice and welcoming, happy to answer all our questions. The wine was great, the tour of the property as well! So impressive! And this was accompanied by great food. The olive oil was so good as well!! I cannot say enough good things about this experience, and I would recommend it to anyone! Thank you!

    Nice family run winery

I bought this for my son and girlfriend as a joint birthday present I they had a lovely time. They were picked up from their hotel by a very pleasant man and they liked that it was run by a family for many years. The wines were very nice especially the dessert wine they bought a bottle of to take back.

    Incredible Experience

I can not say enough good things about this experience! It was such a wonderful day with Lorenzo and his family where they shared the history of the farm with us. The food was incredible and the wine was even better! We purchased 9 bottles to be sent home because we loved it so much. Such a wonderful afternoon we will remember forever ❤️ would recommend this to anyone!

    Highly Recommend!

Our guide, Orlando, was awesome. Very informative throughout the tour of the beautiful winery and passionate about the many generations his family has been making wine. We tasted 8, yes 8, different wines plus their own olive oil. They even gave more pours for wines we wanted to try more of. They also provided plenty of delicious food and the entire experience was well worth it. Now we can’t wait to enjoy the delicious wine back at home!

Wine and food tasting in an organic family winery: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for San Gimignano.

How much does Wine and food tasting in an organic family winery cost?

    +

Prices start at $40 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in San Gimignano usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Wine and food tasting in an organic family winery take?

    +

Plan for about 2.8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in San Gimignano is not rushed.

Is Wine and food tasting in an organic family winery worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 96 out of 100, which we label "Peak Performance". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 186 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in San Gimignano, and how flexible the cancellation terms are. Scoring 90 or above puts it in the Outty 90+ Club, the top tier of everything we rank.

Can I cancel or reschedule Wine and food tasting in an organic family winery?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Wine and food tasting in an organic family winery suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Wine and food tasting in an organic family winery?

    +

Around 65 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in San Gimignano can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in San Gimignano and add a light layer if any part of the 2.8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Wine and food tasting in an organic family winery start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central San Gimignano within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in San Gimignano?

    +

On Outty we rank every San Gimignano experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tuscan Cooking Class, Tuscany Wine Tour: 2 Wineries & Chianti from San Gimignano, San Gimignano Wine Tasting & Tuscan Dinner at a Local Winery. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit San Gimignano?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in San Gimignano?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
