A Wonderful Stay in Tuscany
We spent seven nights in the Edera Superior room, and it was an excellent choice. The room was spacious, with a very comfortable bed and a large, well-equipped bathroom. One of the highlights was the huge shared terrace just outside the room, offering a beautiful view of the surrounding landscape — the perfect place to relax at any time of day. The hosts and staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. Communication before and during our stay was smooth, and we always received quick and clear responses to our questions. Breakfast was generous and delicious, featuring high-quality products from nearby producers. It was served on a separate terrace with a truly breathtaking view, which made each morning special. We also participated in a wine tasting, which was a fantastic experience. The wines and accompanying food were excellent, and the presentation about the winery was both professional and engaging. Overall, this accommodation is a perfect base for exploring Tuscany, and we would gladly return.

Elegant Wine Tasting with Outstanding Food and Storytelling
We visited this winery for a wine tasting and had a truly wonderful experience. The ladies who hosted us did an excellent job presenting the wines, sharing not only their characteristics but also the story and passion behind them. It made the whole experience feel very personal and memorable. The food was just as impressive—absolutely delicious and perfectly paired with the wines. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared and well-balanced. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a genuine and enjoyable wine tasting experience!

Wonderful wines, even better hospitality!
My partner and I had an amazing time at the Winery. The wines are spectacular and our host was so knowledgeable and passionate about the process… it really added to the whole experience! As novice wine tasters, we can’t wait to learn more and would definitely recommend going to Cesani for authentic, warm Italian hospitality!

Providing the typical Tuscany experience!
All the staff and the family running the Agriturismo are lovely, very helpful and responsive. The wine was great and affordable if you fancy a glass. The breakfast spread is wonderful, a lovely view and worth the 7 euro if that suits you! As a solo traveller on an extended trip, I opted to bring some food as well which I was able to store in the mini fridge in my room and use the kettle for some thrown together meals. There are also restaurants nearby for dinner that are an easy short walk away but only open for dinner. Best to have a car in the area for easier arrival in general (otherwise about 6.5 hike up into the hills - almost thought I was brave enough with my 5 week pack). If you arrive by train there's a list of taxi #'s posted on the station door/pole. I'd recommend using google or trying to book before hand in case they are too busy the day of. Cheaper taxi arriving from Certaldo rather than Poggibonsi (~20 euro instead of 30-40 euro from Poggi) if you're choosing a train stop. Google said there area busses however they run 1 - 2 x per day typically super early or afternoon as they run for the students in the area - I opted to pay the 20 euro for a taxi instead. I used Rocco to/from Certaldo and he was great!!

Why this scores 85
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Cesani Wine Experience: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for San Gimignano.
How much does Cesani Wine Experience cost?
+
Prices start at $15 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in San Gimignano usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Cesani Wine Experience take?
+
Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in San Gimignano is not rushed.
Is Cesani Wine Experience worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 85 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 52 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in San Gimignano, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Cesani Wine Experience?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Cesani Wine Experience suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Cesani Wine Experience?
+
Around 18 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in San Gimignano can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in San Gimignano and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Cesani Wine Experience start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central San Gimignano within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in San Gimignano?
+
On Outty we rank every San Gimignano experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Wine and food tasting in an organic family winery, Tuscan Cooking Class, Tuscany Wine Tour: 2 Wineries & Chianti from San Gimignano. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit San Gimignano?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in San Gimignano?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
