About this experience
This activity is the ONLY tour of it's kind in Cabo. The mix of whale watching and scuba diving means you can do both activities in one morning. Not only this, going to find the whales gives divers the best chance at an underwater encounter with whales as we select the areas based on where they are seen. If the whales are sleepy in the morning, your guide may also choose to dive at one of the popular dive sites first, to make sure you get the place ALL to yourself before heading for whale watching during the longer surface interval. Nothing in nature is guaranteed. But Cabo Private Guide want to help divers 'Escape The Crowd' and offer new and exciting tours that none of the other dive centers are doing! We are a PADI 5 Star Dive Center with expert guides and we are one of the first PADI Eco Centers in Los Cabos, placing emphasis on small groups and respect for our spectacular wildlife.

Always my first choice of dive shops in Cabo
Cabo Private Guide is always such an amazing group to work with. Morgane, our dive guide, was super knowledgeable, helpful and did it all with a smile and excitement for what we experienced both underwater and above. The whales put on a show during our surface interval and whale watching portion. While diving, Morgane was great at assisting during some complicated moments but also kept the diving fun. I will always choose Cabo Private Guide here in Cabo and can’t wait to get back in the water. Thank you all!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re thrilled you had another amazing experience with Morgane and enjoyed both the diving and whale encounters. We truly appreciate your continued trust and can’t wait to have you back in the water with us!

Great boat team!! Fantastic experience
I had the best time diving and whale watching with Cab Private Guide. They were so incredibly kind and responsive to my multiple emails trying to plan different dives and changing details. Once I finally booked, they kept me updated up to my dive time, threw in an upgrade last minute and were so incredly prepared and helpful day-of. We had a 1 diver/5 snorklers private whale-watching boat, and it did not dissapoint. We were the first boat out that day so we got fantastic photos of the arch with no one in the background! We saw so many whales, even a mom and baby playing and learning in the bay. I did a fantastic dive and my friends had a blast snorkeling. We ultimatley chose to forgo our second dive spot to stay and watch the whales for longer and they didn't mind one bit when we wanted to switch-up on the spot. If I make it back to Cabo, I won't hesitate to dive with CPG again and again!!!
Response from the operator: We are super happy to provide you an amazing time. Hope to see you soon to dive and WW again with us <3

Diving, snorkeling and whale watching
Great place to book with. My second time booking and will be back again. Family of four trip, 2 divers, 2 snorkelers with whale watching - saw 7-8 whales.

Witnessing these incredible marine creatures in their natural habitat is truly magical, and we’re so glad we could be a part of your adventure. Great morning on the Pacific!
This excursion was really great! We were lucky to be the only ones on the boat and felt very well cared for. Xo and Javi were very knowledgeable and it was clear they enjoyed their jobs. I was super nervous initially and Xo did a wonderful job comforting me. We got so lucky and got to see a mama and baby humpback whale along with two male whales fighting for her affection! While snorkeling, I loved seeing a family of sea lions hanging out on a rock. We definitely recommend this tour!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We're thrilled to hear you had an amazing time whale watching and snorkeling in Cabo. There's truly nothing like seeing these majestic creatures up close and exploring the vibrant marine life. We're so glad you had a memorable experience, and we hope to welcome you back for more incredible adventures in the future

Why this scores 61
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Whale and Dive Combo Tour in Los Cabos: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Los Cabos.
How much does Whale and Dive Combo Tour in Los Cabos cost?
+
Prices start at $260 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Los Cabos usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Whale and Dive Combo Tour in Los Cabos take?
+
Plan for about 5.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Los Cabos is not rushed.
Is Whale and Dive Combo Tour in Los Cabos worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Los Cabos, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Whale and Dive Combo Tour in Los Cabos?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Whale and Dive Combo Tour in Los Cabos suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Whale and Dive Combo Tour in Los Cabos?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Los Cabos can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Los Cabos and add a light layer if any part of the 5.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Whale and Dive Combo Tour in Los Cabos start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Los Cabos within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Los Cabos?
+
On Outty we rank every Los Cabos experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cabo 4x4 ATV Tour with Tequila Tasting and Mexican Buffet Lunch, Ziplining and UTV Desert Adventure from Los Cabos, Cabo Beach Camel Ride, Mexican Buffet and Tequila Tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Los Cabos?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Los Cabos?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
