Fantastic

If I could give this crew ten stars I would! My only con was getting there! It’s quite a hike around the entire pier to the opposite side of where the cruise ship tenders take you, and unfortunately we made the choice to take a water taxi but then got double charged to just get of the taxi and walk on the 5feet of dock to the sidewalk! Such a scam!! So do the walk!!! This crew was on time, the drinks were well stocked! The crew was friendly, fun, informative, and helpful. We had the best day ! We went Feb 21, 2026, and even though we honestly saw more whales from our cruise ship , we did see a few. Not as many as our friends on another excursion the same day saw, so that was a small bummer but not a fault of this crew. They offered a small sandwich lunch and that was good, and the bathroom was clean. I honestly would pay to do this every time! It was just a fantastic day!

La Princesa Is Muy Bueno!

We've used La Princesa every time we've come to Cabo, and they are amazing! Smaller groups, fantastic for whale watching!

That be whales!

Wonderful experience. The crew was very attentive and friendly. A bento box lunch was included with fresh guacamole. Unfortunately I started to feel seasick, but one of the crew took very good care of me. Saw LOTS of whales and many were breaching.

Wonderful experience!

We had a wonderful time with David and the driver. They were wonderfully accommodating - bringing us delicious breakfast rolls and juices, and later burritos and a final toast of tequila. David was always ready and willing to take our pictures and video when he saw us trying on our own. We were told they would do their best to find where the whales are, but you can never guarantee seeing them. We were thankful to have seen them on our ride, and we were glad to see all the boats were respectful to the wales and not chasing too close or bothering in any way. *Note to those coming from a cruise. Be aware there is a time zone difference between the cruise time and Cabo. We almost didn’t make it in time to board the catamaran in the morning.

Response from the operator: Hello, thank you very much for your good comments, and for expressing yourself in that way about our crew, since it is of utmost importance to us that you receive excellent service... we care about safeguarding the marine life of our beautiful beaches and these beautiful aquatic creatures that visit us every year. We hope that you will come back with us soon to spend time with us and enjoy some of our activities. Greetings.

Great price, excellent tour. Take this one!

A perfect two hours. El Arco to take pictures. The crew saw whales a few minutes later. We followed a pair of humpbacks at a respectful distance for over an hour, then turned back towards the harbor. Drinks and snacks were good, the service was great and the captain provided interesting information in teo languages without talking to much. A really great tour for a great price. 5 1/2 stars!

Whale Watching Tour in Los Cabos: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Los Cabos.

How much does Whale Watching Tour in Los Cabos cost?

+

Prices start at $30 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Los Cabos usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Whale Watching Tour in Los Cabos take?

+

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Los Cabos is not rushed.

Is Whale Watching Tour in Los Cabos worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 75 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Los Cabos, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Whale Watching Tour in Los Cabos?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Whale Watching Tour in Los Cabos suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Whale Watching Tour in Los Cabos?

+

Around 26 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Los Cabos can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Los Cabos and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Whale Watching Tour in Los Cabos start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Los Cabos within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Los Cabos?

+

On Outty we rank every Los Cabos experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cabo 4x4 ATV Tour with Tequila Tasting and Mexican Buffet Lunch, Ziplining and UTV Desert Adventure from Los Cabos, Cabo Beach Camel Ride, Mexican Buffet and Tequila Tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Los Cabos?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Los Cabos?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
