    About this experience

This is a unique hiking experience where we will explore the hidden waterfalls of Santiago! This adventure will immerse you into the natural wonders of Baja on a hike down a canyon to a magical waterfall where you can swim, jump, relax, and explore the beautiful wild surroundings! A natural gem hidden from the huge resorts and busy attractions of Los Cabos! On the way back we stop to enjoy some delicious craft ice cream to refresh our taste buds! I also offer the option to stop for lunch at a delicious and authentic Mexican family restaurant which I really recommend! Important Notes: *The total time of the trip is 7 hours approximately, including transportation time (1 - 1.5 hours each way depending on your hotels location). It is a bit of a far drive but you get to see the countryside of Los Cabos on a very beautiful ride along the way! *Please bring some comfy shoes for the hike and your swimsuits.

    Amazing Adventure. Hidden Gems

Carlos was an awesome guide. Very flexible and gave us a lot of options to fit our needs and abilities. We saw many beautiful sights that most people would not get to. We have done many tours but this one was one of the best ones ever. The hike can be challenging but Carlos adjusts to your level. Of course the better shape you’re in the more cool stuff you’ll get to see

An Amazing Canyon Adventure with an Outstanding Guide

We had a great experience on the Waterfall Canyon hike! Our guide, Carlos, was outstanding: friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly very familiar with the area and the locals. He made us feel comfortable throughout the adventure and shared interesting information about the canyon, vegetation and local land ownership. Unfortunately, we visited during a time when there wasn’t much water flowing over the waterfall, but Carlos took us farther into the canyon to a beautiful swimming spot that made the trip worthwhile. The hike was definitely hot, so be prepared and bring plenty of water or sports drinks. We stopped prior to hiking at a local supermarket to stock up on Gatorade and fruit before heading out. The drive to the trailhead was easy on the highway, and the dirt roads off of the highway added to the sense of adventure. After the hike, we stopped at a local Mexican restaurant in a nearby village where we had some of the best lobster tacos and margaritas of our trip. It was a little more expensive than we expected for a small local restaurant, but the food was excellent. Overall, this was a fun adventure, and Carlos made the experience memorable. We’d definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore a different side of Cabo, just be aware that the amount of water at the waterfall depends on the season.

You can't go wrong with Good Trips Baja!

We booked with Max to take a tour with Carlos, who came highly recommended by one of my collogues and he did not disappoint! The location of the hike was in the mountains, and he brought us through a loop on dirt roads to the highway, sharing the history of the surrounding area, how the lands are maintained by the families and community. The hike was moderate, but we followed the river and the oases and the waterfall along the paths were worth the trip. We ended the hike by having lunch nearby in Miraflores and it was delicious. The owner was very welcoming. If you are looking for something to do away from the crowds, Carlos is your guy. He is very accommodating and he lets you set the pace on what you want to do or see!

    My husband and I were...

My husband and I were alone with our guide Carlos, and he met our desire for activity, adventure and nature. Our trail included about 2 miles of hiking in a riverbed with swim stops, hopping large rocks and navigating beautiful terrain. Carlos was courteous, knowledgable and friendly. I have been to cabo 10 times and this was my first time coming to this area. Would definitely do it again!

Waterfall Canyon Hiking Adventure: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cabo San Lucas.

How much does Waterfall Canyon Hiking Adventure cost?

    +

Prices start at $170 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cabo San Lucas usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Waterfall Canyon Hiking Adventure take?

    +

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cabo San Lucas is not rushed.

Is Waterfall Canyon Hiking Adventure worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 89 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 158 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cabo San Lucas, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Waterfall Canyon Hiking Adventure?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Waterfall Canyon Hiking Adventure suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Waterfall Canyon Hiking Adventure?

    +

Around 55 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cabo San Lucas can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cabo San Lucas and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Waterfall Canyon Hiking Adventure start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cabo San Lucas within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cabo San Lucas?

    +

On Outty we rank every Cabo San Lucas experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Humpback Whale Watching Tour in Cabo San Lucas, Cabo Desert Off-Road & Beach Horseback Combo and Tequila Tasting, Cabo All-Inclusive Private Beach Club with Open Bar and Buffet. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cabo San Lucas?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cabo San Lucas?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
