Be weary of Viator subcontracting this tour
Terrible, disappointing issues with Viator subcontracting this tour to another company. After several confirmation emails and text messages, we arrived to be told we were being moved from the 10:00 tour to a 1:00 departure. Yeah NO! We’d traveled by taxi a half hour from our hotel and no one even asked us if a three hour delay worked for our schedule. It didn’t. Nor had there been any communication about scheduling changes. This is a seven hour journey. You can’t just arbitrarily change times. We had to stand our ground and argue and eventually the tour operator allowed us on the bus. On the ride I scoured my email and found a notice from the contractor, in my spam folder, 30 mins prior to departure, informing me of the change. Unacceptable. When we arrived at the studio, they entered the bus to give physical tickets and - because we were rescheduled to be on a much later bus, we weren’t on the ticket list and “here you can have a ticket for an hour later”. Meaning we can stand around for an hour - losing an hour in exploring the studio - and that too was unacceptable. The studio, thank goodness, was kind enough to make the correction and allowed us entry. So yeah. The studio was good. Viator dropped the ball on our experience. And I would caution everyone looking to book to carefully check if it is sub contracted out.

It was a very good tour...
It was a very good tour we would do it again if we come back to London thank you very much for a great day

Very good, but app needs looked at
The tour was first class, and the bus, staff all excellent. Including Viator support staff who helped join the dots after we missed our bus. The reality is that the prominence of multiple other HP tours on the landing page of the app, even after signing in, can send you to the wrong part of London to get picked up. Our tour guide said this is pretty regular, and should be an easy fix. Three rather than five purely because of the app.

Harry Potter tour
Other than the ride upto Warner Brothers studio- the tour was worthless. If you have a way of getting there, I would skip this tour. There was one person who checked our tickets and was on his phone on the coach the rest of the way. There was no information or any interaction. Not sure why he rode with us.The driver was good and kept us on time.

Warner Bros. Studio Tour London The Making of Harry Potter with return transfers: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for London.
How much does Warner Bros. Studio Tour London The Making of Harry Potter with return transfers cost?
+
Prices start at $134 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in London usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Warner Bros. Studio Tour London The Making of Harry Potter with return transfers take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in London is not rushed.
Is Warner Bros. Studio Tour London The Making of Harry Potter with return transfers worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 207 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in London, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Warner Bros. Studio Tour London The Making of Harry Potter with return transfers?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Warner Bros. Studio Tour London The Making of Harry Potter with return transfers suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Warner Bros. Studio Tour London The Making of Harry Potter with return transfers?
+
Around 72 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in London can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in London and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Warner Bros. Studio Tour London The Making of Harry Potter with return transfers start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central London within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in London?
+
London's best attractions split cleanly: the museums are free and need no booking, so the paid market is about views, theatre and getting out of the city for a day. That makes value scoring unusually important here, and the Outty Ranking penalises anything charging premium prices for access you could get for nothing. On Outty we rank every London experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Great British Rock and Roll Walking Tour, Soho Music & Historic Pubs Tour, London Small Group Tour of Historical Pubs. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit London?
+
May to September for long evenings, December for the Christmas markets. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in London?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
